About Pig On The Wall
Pig On The Wall is a pub on Greenside Ln in Manchester, with an outdoor play area and climbing frame that give children space to play, plus a beer garden. The pub is under new management, which has reworked the food and drinks lists, and the kitchen cooks its food fresh. The menu covers eight dishes, including the Posh Fish Finger Butty and Cheese and Onion Pie with Mash, and Apple Sours Shots sit among the drinks. Inside, modern furniture stands alongside old features, and guests sit wherever they like. Music from the 80s plays in the evening, and the pub hosts DJ and artist nights. An Easter fun day for kids rounds out the events.

Customer Review Summary
Food draws most of the praise, with diners singling out the cheese pie, the children's chicken nuggets and chips as delicious, and one birthday lunch noting generous portions. Close behind are the friendly, helpful staff, who happily swapped peas for beans on one dish and changed an item on a child's plate, and a bartender described as run off her feet but still a credit to the pub. The outdoor space and beer garden, a good range of drinks, 80s music, DJ and artist nights and an Easter fun day also come up, and one family held a wake here. The main complaint is slow lunchtime service on a weekday, where one table's food arrived far later than another party's that ordered afterwards. One parent also found the children's main expensive because no drink is included, and suggested more vegetarian choices such as quorn sausages or a halloumi fillet, mayo on the tables, and an upgrade to the outdoor climbing frame, which they described as having seen better days.

“Place was spotless. The poor bartender, Amy, i think, run iff her feet and near to tears. A credit to her. She deserves a pat on the back.”

“We had our Dads wake at the pub. Aran and all the staff were really helpful and accommodating. The pub has a good blend of old feature's and new fittings. It was an ideal location with a good outside space, moderately priced well stocked bar and large car park. Perfect for what we needed.”

“We have just moved into the area and decided to take a chance on this place after a long day of unpacking. What a wonderful evening we had! We were greeted and served by Luize, Kate, and Sue who were all very warm, welcoming, and inviting. The food was gorgeous and exactly what we needed, and the atmosphere was great (I'm an 80s child and to hear lots of the music of the time was just the icing on the cake for me). Firmly think this will be one of our favourite places for the foreseeable future! Thank you guys for making a very hard day that much more bearable!”
