About The Brunswick
The Brunswick is a pub at 97 Piccadilly in Manchester, close to Piccadilly Station, which makes it an easy stop before or after a train. Live acoustic music is part of the programme, with local cover artists playing for the crowd. The kitchen works from a menu of 50 dishes. Breakfast runs from the Full English to Buttermilk Chicken Waffles, and the Sunrise Smash Burger sits alongside starters and a lunch special that comes with a drink. Behind the bar are real cask ales, craft beers, stouts on tap and classic cocktails, with rotating happy hour deals. The pub gets busy on match days and bank holidays, with a rush at the bar. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to service that holds up under pressure, with one bartender working alone through a rush and staff described as friendly and efficient on a very busy Friday night. The spot minutes from the station suits a first stop in the city or a quick bite before a long train ride. Diners name the Christmas Toasties, a lunch special with a drink as great value, starters with massive portions, and standard beers and stouts on tap, while one praises a bartender who listed the ingredients of an old fashioned. Complaints are fewer but specific. One brunch party waited over an hour on a bank holiday match day with only one chef on and no apology, then found the sourdough tough and burnt. Another says the music was too loud for a morning breakfast and was told by staff that anyone who dislikes it shouldn't come. One finds staff a bit bored, though still helpful. Two mention sitting outside on the patio, watching people go by on the busy street.

“It was nice except for some reason the boss won't allow the staff to turn down the music. In fact he made them turn it up higher. Both me and other people complained the music is too loud especially for a morning and afternoon when you just want a nice breakfast. Won't be going there again why the boss thinks turning the music up to the max is a good idea when it puts customers off I'll never know. To be honest he sounds like a tyrant. Staff said that basically if people don't like it then they shouldn't come. That's the attitude of the boss rather than staffs true feelings”

“Sound and solid pub minutes from Piccadilly. My first stop.usually when I am visiting Manc. Nothing wrong with the place, Greta for a catch-up with the mates and to plot your next move. Standard selection of beers and stouts on tap, standard scran. Clean and comfortable seating and efficient staff. Decent prices.”

“Stopped for some food and a drink on a quick day trip to Manchester. Sid the bartender was very helpful and did an amazing job working on his own through a rush. The food was good and came quickly. Great spot to pop in close to the station if you need something to keep you going for a long train ride!”

“Came for brunch. Ordered food and was told there might be a wait on food. Over an hour later it came. With no apology for the delay. Other people around us chased too and were told it was busy and only one chef on. It's a bank holiday weekend and a match day. Not a great experience. The food was ok and warm but the sourdough was tough and burnt.”

“Nice interior and lots of space inside. I sat outside which is nice for people watching since it’s a busy street :) Good selection of drinks as well. Staff seems a bit bored/uninterested but they are still helpful.”
