Quick info
About Parkview Pub
Parkview Pub is a pub in Manchester at 2 Parksway, and it hires out a bouncy castle for children's parties, so families can plan a birthday around the pub itself. A function room is also available to hire, which suits groups planning a larger gathering. The pub has a pool table for casual games, and a bingo night gives regulars an organised event to join. Entertainment is also part of what the pub puts on, alongside the bingo, so the room serves for an evening out as well as for a party.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come away praising the friendly staff and locals, with a warm welcome at the bar and plenty of chatty banter. Bingo night draws particular enthusiasm, with one winner choosing prizes from a table and taking home money too. Others mention a Sunday roast, the pool table, the beer garden, bonfire night fireworks and a wide range of drinks at decent prices. The caveat comes from two reviewers who hired the function room and call the landlord rude and arrogant. In both accounts the paid-for bouncy castle was not put up, one saying the sun had come out and the other quoting a worry about mud and cleaning. Both also describe money withheld or deducted over a small child's own fruit shoot or cartons of drink. One adds that the bar was said to close at 9 on Sunday, which differed from what was said before booking. On a day the kitchen was closed, one group says staff suggested nearby takeaways and didn't mind them eating the food there.

“After looking on Google at the reviews I took the chance to hire this pubs function room and what a big mistake that turned out to be !! The landlord is absolutely shocking, i paid for the hire of there bouncy castle, I was told if it rained it would not be able to go up Which I agreed to and that was the end of it , once arriving on the day at 4.30 the rain from the morning had cleared up and the sun had came out but he refused to put the castle up for the kids, when I asked why ? I was told it’s down to the landlord I asked to speak with him so the barmaid had to communicate through a phone to him while he was upstairs in the pub, i asked that he come down and explain why the castle could not go up when the sun is shining so after making me wait for around 15 mins he then come down and he was very arrogant and rude as he said the castle would get dirty and was not arguing and he would refund the money I couldn’t believe it his attitude was terrible so the kids was disappointed as was we but that was just the start, he then tells the barmaid to tell us the bar closes at 9.00 as it is Sunday hours yet that is not the time I was told when I enquired before making the booking !!! Once he has took your money he then starts changing all the rules so that when you challenge him he has a terrible attitude and threatens to throw you out !!!! They also stole my extension lead that I left there after decorating the room and when I asked for it I was told it had rusty water coming out of it so they have put it in the back and did not return it . Well I am certain that it was not wet when we left it there and he also took money from my bouncy castle payment as a surcharge for bringing little cartons of drinks for the smaller baby’s this was never mentioned at the time of booking Will not be visiting that place again under the current management and would avoid holding a function in there if you are wanting family friendly place”

“The only thing decent about this pub is the foundations it stands on. Was recently there for a 30th birthday party and the landlord is rude, unprofessional and should not be a publican. The brewery should be ashamed to employ such a knuckle dragging, lazy, thieving liar. The reasons: 1) My mother in law catered, organised the music and decoration. She brought multiple pieces of equipment for this and at the end of the night she was told "theyre now water damaged and we had to throw them away". That is theft 2) she paid for a bouncy castle for the younger ones and the landlord refused to put it up because and again, i quote "it will get muddy and i dont want to clean it" 3) after paying for the bouncy castle, the landlord then refused to reimburse the money because a 3 year old brought in his own fruit shoot. ...... some corkage fee for a soft drink that. 4) you expect an amount of dignity from a pub landlord but this guy not only spoke down to my family but also tainted the whole experience. DO NOT FREQUENT THIS PLACE”
