About Mangiamo @ The Wilton Arms Hotel
Mangiamo @ The Wilton Arms Hotel is a pub in Manchester at 818 Manchester Old Rd, now running a tapas menu of over 40 items after switching over from a standard pub menu. Small plates mean a table can order several dishes to share, and the cheesy garlic bread comes as a side. Chicken features across the menu, including Hunters Chicken. The building has a restaurant side and a separate bar side. At the bar, the hand-pulled pints include Doom Bar, and a selection of gins sits alongside them.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, attentive staff, with the food close behind, and several mention the tapas menu, which one says offers over 40 items. Specific dishes named include Hunters Chicken, a double chicken burger with dirty kebab fries, cheesy garlic bread and chicken wraps, described as well presented, generous and tasty. Pints of Madri and hand pulled Doom Bar get praise, and one reviewer mentions a lovely selection of gin and good offers on kids' food. The main complaints are about the kitchen and ordering. One reviewer found the garlic bread undercooked with barely melted cheese, the mozzarella sticks overcooked and burnt, and a spaghetti bolognese with an off putting smell that went uneaten, so the family left before ordering mains. Another says waits between dishes ran from 11 to 19 minutes, and a third was sternly told they should have ordered at the bar after the app would not work. One returning visitor, previously disappointed by undercooked chips and heavy bbq sauce, found the new menu cooked to perfection, though the menus were sticky.

“Absolutely lovely place, Tapas bar/pub, Food was great, over 40 items on the menu. Party of 5 ladies celebrating a birthday, Sraff are really attentive and welcoming. Its only been open as a tapas menu for 2 months. But if they carry on with the level of service and exellent food it will do well. Plenty of parking . We will definetly be back again soon.”

“The only reason I haven't given them 5 stars is because the wait in between our 3 dishes was way to long for me we waited 14mins 11mins 19mins and 18mins.. Not good. But when the food does come it's very well presented and taste very nice 👅 no complaints here left with full belly eventually 😋”

“Came in today with the partner and daughter, the service was amazing grace was very attentive and very polite but unfortunately the food was a big let down, the garlic bread was described as hand stretched but this was like more like a flat bread you buy from the supermarket but very undercooked the cheese was barley melted, there was some small hairs baked into the cheese of the garlic bread which I pointed out and grace was very lovely and couldn't stop apologising. In my opinion I feel the manager should of come over and refunded the garlic bread. The spaghetti bolognese that my daughter had was very weird had a very off putting smell, my daughter loves bolognese and she did not want it when she smelt it and refused to eat it which made me smell it. Even grace agreed the smell was weird. The mozzarella sticks were so overcooked that the cheese had poured out and burnt. We intended to order mains and desserts as well but this put us off so we left. We didn't even want the kids ice cream we paid for already. So unfortunately that's why I can't give anymore stars. If it wasn't for grace we would of put 1star, you have a good waitress food just needs to match.”
