About Albert's Schloss - Manchester
Albert's Schloss is a bar at 27 Peter St in Manchester, billed as the city's first Tankovna and run as a cook house and beer palace with live music every day. A band plays on stage, and a gospel group adds to the music programme. The kitchen serves chicken schnitzel with fries and pesto on the side, alongside pork knuckle. A Bavarian platter is made for sharing among groups of three or more. Seating runs from individual tables for two to eight people to long tables for larger parties. A long bar counter suits those who prefer to perch, booths sit at the rear, and a fire pit marks the entrance. Speakers are placed around the room.

Customer Review Summary
Schnitzel is the dish reviewers name most, from a basic chicken schnitzel with fries and pesto smeared on top to plates ordered alongside pork ribs. Close behind is the pork knuckle, with several warning that the portions are huge. Others single out the Bavarian platter for sharing, the fondue, the roast chicken and a baron burger with a bacon jam that was more bacon than jam. Live music, including a band on a Wednesday night, adds to a vibrant atmosphere, and the staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive. The recurring complaint is volume. Reviewers describe the music as loud and the evenings as really noisy, one calls it deafening near a speaker, and another says it makes quiet conversation across a table difficult. One diner also had to remind staff about a gravy that arrived when the meal was half eaten. Reviewers recall a server who cleaned up spilled beer immediately, a surprise birthday brownie, a free drink from the bouncer and complimentary schnapps to try.

“The service is so amazing. I was a little abstracted and spilled the beer all around. A staff came to help immediately and cleaned up the space for us. He was so kind and we felt well taken care of🤗🤗 Really appreciated the friendly service, highly recommended!!”

“I really love coming here! The vibes, the food, and especially the staff make every visit special. Huge thanks to Vinessa and Teneia for going above and beyond – they truly made our afternoon. Everything from the service to the cleanliness was spot on, and the drinks and food were just perfect. Can't wait to come back for more!”

“I've been to this place a few times and always loved it. Food and service are both excellent. I'd highly recommend the Bavarian platter to share for parties of 3 and more. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's really noisy in the evenings. It's literally deafening if you're sitting close to a speaker (and there are a few of those).”
