  “Took some clients too this place on Friday 8 of us, it was £20.00 too go in but from the front door security to inside the club it answer all our questions and it was busy, atmosphere etc what a great place. We decided too go back there Friday a little quite ghan Friday but oh my God the girl that was singing if she is not signed to a record label what a voice box she had, must admit never been in will be my number one destination, thank you to all staff from the frontdoor too the waiting on staff. 10/10”

  “I’m quite a difficult customer to please, so I don’t give compliments lightly, but Mara Monteiro provided outstanding service from start to finish. She was friendly, dynamic, and incredibly efficient throughout the entire experience. She handled everything with professionalism and a genuine smile. Mara made the experience enjoyable and ensured that everything ran smoothly. Her attention to detail and excellent customer service really stood out. A real asset to One Eight Six.   “ABSOLUTELY APPALLING! Made to feel like your nothing, the staff made it pretty clear if you ent wearing heels with a sugar daddy you can’t sit down but was pretty happy to take money off you for drinks! And the waiter picked who they would give a table, like you ent good enough of a status to sit down THE CHEEK!! Feel sorry the live band because they was good! After seeing it on Tik tok and visit it looked like a vibe, but let me tell you now don’t bother if you are a bunch of girls just wanting a vibe!!”

  “Was unsure about this venue but queued up as we were curious. We paid £20 each entry and the bouncer assured us it was somewhere we’d enjoy ourselves. What they didn’t explain was the table service downstairs and that there was definitely a bias in relation to how customers are treated. We sat at a table and ordered a drink. We were asked to move and told it was reserved. We found another table and sat down and a member of staff told us to move again. My friend queried the treatment we were receiving and was told we could have the table for forty minutes and we’d have to move. Again! After forty minutes one of the bouncers came down from the door and told us our time was up. He was rude and aggressive. No one sat at that table after we moved. They just wanted us out of the way. This is not somewhere to go to enjoy yourself; the club is only interested in taking your money. They have a selective and biased door policy and will enforce it. We were made to feel unsafe. Avoid at all costs.”

  “Completely unacceptable experience during a recent hen party booking.This was a special occasion organised to celebrate a bride-to-be, and unfortunately the service we received fell far below expectations. From the outset, the attitude of staff was disappointing, aggressive and lacked the level of professionalism and courtesy you would expect from an establishment of this kind. The manager and head of security lacked the skills to be able to communicate effectively, were extremely sexist and couldn’t take the criticism of the fact we were unhappy. Honestly the whole vibe from the staff was chavvy, aggressive and unpleasant. We spend a lot of money in these types of places however would not recommend to anyone who wants to get value and great service for their money. A formal complaint has been emailed.”

  “ONE EIGHT SIX is a lively and upscale nightlife venue with a strong atmosphere and a stylish interior. The music and entertainment create a high-energy environment that’s perfect for a night out in the city. Drinks are well made with a good selection of cocktails and spirits. Staff are generally attentive and the service runs smoothly even when it’s busy. A solid choice for a vibrant and premium-feeling night out.”

  “AVOID - Absolutely awful experience at 186. I had a booking and was refused entry by the bouncer for supposedly wearing “trainers” — despite the fact that he had just let in a group of 6 guys wearing trainers right before me, and then another 3 after me. The inconsistency was obvious and impossible to ignore. What made it worse was the way he handled it when I questioned him. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, he became aggressive and confrontational. I’ve been to 186 many times before and have been let in wearing smart trainers without any issue, so this felt completely selective and unfair. Honestly, the whole interaction left me feeling singled out and uncomfortable, and given the attitude and treatment, it’s hard not to question whether there was some prejudice involved. Really disappointing, especially from a place I’d visited before and expected better from. Photo below was taken from a friend already inside of people wearing trainers. Pathetic homophobic door staff Won’t be returning.”

  “From minute one, security on the doors and all bouncers within the venue were rude and lacked any basic personable skills. Incredibly rude. No live music at the time that was advertised. Advertised in flashing lights that they take walk ins, but proceeded to interrogate regarding wearing trainers but pretended to act like they were doing us a favour by 'allowing us' entry despite 90% of the people in the venue was wearing them (6/7 people). We came on a Friday night, not from Manchester and thought this place sounded amazing. "Home of soul" they advertised. Couldn't be further from it. After being looked up and down at the door and scrutinised for having trainers on, but thank the lord; they let us in! When we got escorted down to the bar area, strangely. We were told to take off our coats and hand them over, then sat uncomfortably Infront of an empty stage with more security staff in the room than "customers". 10 security staff in the room, not including the rude fella on the door. 8 people in the venue, all couples. All looking incredibly uncomfortable with the whole set up. £32 is par for the course for 2 cocktails in a fancy bar in the city. Please heed my advice, Bar 186 is so far away from fancy you could not imagine.”
