About Dew Drop, Hathern
Dew Drop, Hathern is a pub in Loughborough, on Loughborough Rd at number 49, with a roaring fire in the bar. Four hand-pulled cask ales are on the bar, joined by eight keg, cider and lager lines and a selection of spirits. The kitchen serves sharing plates, chips, garlic bread and pizza, and food trucks visit on different days to add more to eat. Live music is held regularly, so a night out here can include a performance alongside the drinks. Dogs are welcome inside. Anyone who can prove it is their birthday gets a discount on drinks.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the beer, singling out four handpulled cask ales alongside eight keg, cider and lager lines, with one describing a well kept pint of HPA served in the correct glassware. Close behind is the welcome, from friendly bar staff and a roaring fire in the cosy bar, with several noting how much the pub has improved since visits years ago. Food draws mixed comments: a sharing plate, chips, garlic bread and pizza were called tasty, though one pizza was burnt underneath, and one reviewer asked for healthier sides. The recurring complaint is food availability. One diner arrived to find the kitchen had stopped serving early with no notice, while another found no food apart from weekend food trucks. One finds the beer a tad expensive, though others call prices good value. Live music and a small rear garden with seating also get mentions, and one reviewer liked that a birthday earns a percentage off drinks.

“Have eaten here before and the food is excellent but went this evening food to be told they’ve stopped serving early. Really disappointing as we’d planned our evening around eating here and planned to spend the evening in the pub but as we couldn’t eat we had to head elsewhere. Disappointing that the early stopping of food service wasn’t advertised anywhere and will make us think twice about making plans to come again because there aren’t a huge amount of choices in hathern.”
