The Apple Tree
Quick info
About The Apple Tree
The Apple Tree is a pub in Loughborough, on Stoop Ln, with a large beer garden that has a children's play area and a bouncy castle. A new patio area has a pizza maker, so the garden can serve as a place to eat as well as to play. Inside, darts is played, and the TVs show sports on Sky and BT Sports, which can make big event days busy. The bar pours Bass alongside a selection of beers and lagers. The kitchen keeps a small range of pub food, including filled rolls, chops and scotch eggs. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along for a drink.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the beer garden, a lovely spot for families in the sunshine, with a bouncy castle and children's play area that one parent says their son had a blast on. Covered seating and a new patio with a pizza maker also get mentions. Close behind is the drinking, with a good beer selection and one regular calling the Bass always superb. Sports are shown inside every day, and one reviewer notes this can make the pub busy for big events. Darts and carols add to a friendly, local atmosphere where kids, dogs and visitors are all welcome. Food is a smaller draw, though one diner rates the homemade sausage rolls and scotch eggs as to die for, and another lists filled rolls, pizza and chops. One reviewer was refused service by the woman behind the bar on a Thursday night because last orders had been called, even though the pub looked lively with darts and football on.

“Ratings of Pubs in Quorn is exceptionally good but the Apple Tree holds its own and I would think the favourite without doubt for the locals. The Bass is always superb. Well done James”

“We took our son here on a warm afternoon and he had a blast playing outside on the playground and bouncy castle. It’s such a lovely pub with a fantastic outdoor area.”

“Went in last Thursday at 9.30pm Looked quite lively, people playing darts, football on tv. Seemed great to have 1 or 2 drinks, unfortunately the lady behind the bar said she had called last orders and we couldn’t be served. Pity but luckily there were other pubs nearby.”
