About Skylon
Skylon is a modern European restaurant in London, set inside the Royal Festival Hall. Floor-to-ceiling windows face the river, and the dining room looks onto the Southbank skyline, with design touches from the 1950s. Brunch brings a live band and a two-course menu with bottomless bubbles, so the music and the meal come together in one sitting. The main menu includes rib steak and ribeye for those after a heartier plate. A celebration menu is also available for groups marking a special occasion.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return to the celebration menu, which several call great value, with one describing a perfectly cooked steak with hispi cabbage and truffle mash alongside a glass of sparkling wine. Close behind are the river and skyline views and the service, where reviewers repeatedly describe a friendly, welcoming, attentive team. Other dishes singled out include the Cumbrae Scottish oysters, dressed crab, rib steak, Sunday roast, sticky toffee pudding and Baked Alaska. Saturday brunch with a live band and bottomless bubbles also draws praise, and one group stayed for hours. The main caveat comes from one reviewer who found the prices upmarket for food that felt just ok, called the deconstructed cheesecake lacking in substance, and still rated the ribeye and mocktails as decent. Several others acknowledge it is not cheap but feel the quality justifies the cost. One reviewer suggests arriving around sunset for the views. Another describes the team keeping their food warm after a concert at the Royal Festival Hall ran past nine, so dinner stayed relaxed.

“Lovely Saturday lunch with the girls. The food was great, lovely service from Felix, and the live band was a bonus. I enjoyed my Baked Alaska in particular.”

“I visited Skylon Restaurant a while ago with a friend, and we had an unforgettable experience! The food was delicious, the desserts were delightful, the service was outstanding, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. What truly makes Skylon Restaurant special, however, is its amazing team. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the receptionist until the end of our visit, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel genuinely valued. The combination of delicious food, a stunning view, a beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality makes Skyline a truly special place. The staff are the heart of this restaurant, and their kindness is what makes the entire experience unforgettable. I would happily visit again and again without a second thought! I highly recommend Skyline Restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. A big thank-you to the entire team for your outstanding service and hospitality. Keep up the fantastic work! ❤️”

“Exceptional service from Deivid and the team at Skylon. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate us. Our concert at the Royal Festival Hall didn’t finish until 9:20pm, and they very kindly kept our food warm so that we could still enjoy a relaxed dinner afterwards rather than feeling rushed. That level of care and hospitality made the whole evening feel seamless and special. If you’re attending a concert or performance at the Royal Festival Hall, Skylon is absolutely the place to dine. They genuinely understand how to accommodate theatre and concert timings, and combined with the spectacular views, wonderful food and outstanding service, it really is a no-brainer for a complete evening on the South Bank. A huge thank you to Deivid in particular for looking after us so well. We will definitely be returning.”

“Had a lovely lunch at Skylon midweek for a family celebration. Our server Deivid was friendly and welcoming and the service throughout the meal was excellent. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We all chose the celebration menu which was great value. Everyone complimented the meal, and overall experience. The views add to it too! Would definitely recommend and will come back again. Thanks for a lovely experience Skylon.”

“Long overdue catch up with a friend on a Thursday evening A lovely bright venue overlooking Southbank with a modern European menu with high quality produce. Went for the celebration menu, a perfectly cooked steak with hispi cabbage and the best truffle mash ever which came with a glass of very nice sparkling wine. Exceptional value for money. Served by the very attentive and professional Deivid who couldn't have been lovelier if he'd tried. Took the best table photo! Definitely worth a return trip”
