  “Had an excellent gluten free and vegan dinner here — absolutely delicious! 😋 The broccoli is better than the leaf salad as a side. I had the gnocchi as my main and the bread that came with the meal was absolutely amazing. I would never have dreamed it was gluten free!”

  “In summary, a good location, good to be GF but service lacking and expensive. £23 for a gin and tonic - welcome to London. Great food and superb service for most of the meal, but atmosphere a little lacking and the person who took my payment at the end of meal apparently didn't know how to talk and just presented the card machine without a please or thank you. I liked the menu but would not return in a hurry. GF options at other restaurants better.”

  “Their entire menu is gluten free and dairy free! You get an amazing free appetiser sourdough bread and onion chutney butter. I recommend the set menu, short rib was tender and perfect with deep flavours and the Eton mess dessert. I shared the asparagus salad as starter which was so refreshing. Will be returning very soon!”

  “We visited Indigo at One Aldwych for high tea, and overall it was a lovely experience. The setting is beautiful with thoughtful decor and attention to detail that really stands out - from the ambiance of the room to how everything is presented at the table. The food was good, though not particularly spectacular especially given the price. The restaurant does cater to gluten-free and dairy-free which was appreciated by some of our group.”

  “Indigio at One Aldwych is one of my favourite places to eat in London for a special occasion. I first visited here to celebrate my birthday, and I had a great time. The fully gluten-free menu has an extensive selection of dishes, including meat and fish. I like how they managed to offer fine dining without feeling pretentious, in a great central location, just off the Strand. I was able to get a booking on the same day with little notice and was placed in a table by the window with views of the city, adding to the experience. Like at the majority of places in London now, there is a service charge added onto the bill, but the staff were super friendly, attentive and helpful and did their best to justify this, bringing bread over shortly after seating my table with a pistachio butter alternative. and checking in throughout the meal, even letting me keep the pen as a souvenir. I wasn’t a huge fan of the bread, but I’m not a bread eater anyway.

I decided to go for the Peterhead Cod In Beer Batter, which came with triple-cooked chips, crushed peas and tartare sauce. The hand-rolled potato gnocchi, venison, halibut and 28-day-aged Irish rib-eye dishes also sounded tasty, but I felt like a proper fish and chips. The fish was stunning, and I found the portion of the fish to be generous for a fine dining restaurant, it was one of the best I’ve had, the quality of the fish was sublime and far beyond what you’d expect to find on our average high-street chippy, it came apart with my fork, and I didn’t even need a knife, the batter was crispy, and it was well seasoned. The sides were also unique with the special vinegar to enhance the dish, which I enjoyed as someone who doesn’t normally use vinegar. I would have liked the tartar sauce to be slightly wetter, but again, this was still enjoyable and of good quality. It was obvious they’d thought about each element in the dish; even though each part may appear small, it all enhanced the dish and made it one I can’t wait to have again. My only issue with the portion size would be with the fries; I would have liked a couple more, but they were really good! The drinks selection appears to be separate, they serve beer and spirits, but as I wanted a cocktail, my server was happy to get a menu from the Lobby Bar downstairs, I went for the Arizona Bloom, I liked how they had a unique selection of cocktails - this one was listed as containing - Coconut and saffron-infused Havana Club 3 rum, 21 citrus, Franklin & Sons pineapple and almond soda, and Henner's sparkling wine, it looked pretty with how they’d decorated the glass, but again it was delicious and with a good helping of alcohol so it wasn’t just pretty, it packed a punch too. Certainly one of my favourite places in London to go for a special occasion, it is slightly pricey for sure, but given the service and food/beverage quality, it is worth visiting on a more special occasion, and the entire menu being gluten-free is a huge bonus for me as a coeliac too.”

  “We visited this restaurant on Friday 20th March. I have a gluten and dairy allergy, so the drawing factor was that the whole menu is Gluten and Dairy free. The food was incredible. Absolutely nothing disappointed, the flavours, the size, and the speed our dishes came out. The service provided was above and beyond. They kept our water and bread topped up regularly, they were polite and friendly, and were great at making our visit as perfect as possible. Didnt get photos of all of our food, as we just tucked in. Starter- Salmon and Chicken Thigh Main- Rib Eye and Lamb Dessert- Chocolate Mousse and Lemon Polenta Cake 10/10 recommend”

  “What a fantastic restaurant that combines gluten free cooking with style, amazing execution and delicious plates of food. I took my Mother here for a pre-theatre meal as she has some fairly complex health related dietary restrictions. She was warmly welcomed, all the menu explained and dishes suggested for her. Everything was beautifully plated and tasted delicious. A massive thank you to our wonderful waiter Eddy who assisted us (and my mother’s complex dietary restrictions) with kindness, thoroughness and detailed knowledge of the menu. He is a huge credit to the restaurant. A big thank you to all the staff who were attentive, welcoming and friendly - a true marker of excellent hospitality. I will return and thoroughly recommend this restaurant to all as one to put on your dining list.”

  “Wow. We had such a fantastic experience here. The vibes, service, food, everything was over the top. It was so nice being able to order anything as it was all gluten and dairy free. It was nice to feel normal and just order anything on the menu! We are so appreciative of our experience here and cannot recommend it enough!!”
