Customer Review Summary

Diners most often praise friendly, attentive service and well-presented food in a lively, busy room, with the fillet steak, duck salad, shepherd's pie and sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce singled out. One reviewer likens the menu to the classics at The Ivy. Close behind are the robata chicken skewers, sweet potato and spinach curry, pan-fried sea bream and teriyaki salmon. Noise is the most common trade-off: one couple chose outside seating twice because inside was crowded and loud, though service there was a bit slow. One reviewer found the burgers lacking in taste and the place expensive, calling the cheesecake excessive. Another described servers as rude or inattentive and a birthday drink that never arrived despite asking twice. One reviewer notes booking in advance is recommended. Another couple found the two-course menu good value, and when they stayed for dessert and moved to three courses, one dessert was left off the bill.

“Three Wonderful Courses – An Absolutely Delicious Evening! After a long day of meetings in London, we went for dinner at Granary Square Brasserie, and what can I say? I absolutely loved it! I started with the whipped feta, figs, caramelised pecans, radicchio and truffle vinaigrette. Oh my goodness, what a fantastic combination of flavours! I'm normally not a huge fan of radicchio because I find it too bitter, but combined with the sweetness of the figs, the crunchy caramelised pecans and the creamy feta, it was absolutely delicious. The truffle flavour in the vinaigrette was perfectly balanced – wonderfully subtle, but definitely there. If I had one tiny wish, it would be for a slightly stronger feta flavour in the whipped feta. But honestly, the combination was outstanding! For my main course, I chose the Shepherd's Pie. I make my own version at home, so I was particularly excited to finally try one here in England. And I wasn't disappointed! Beautifully presented, with a lovely golden potato topping and delicious flavours. I thoroughly enjoyed it! And then came dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding with salted caramel sauce. Now, I have to admit, I was a little sceptical. I'm quite particular about sponge cakes because I often find them too dry. But this? Oh my goodness! Absolutely divine! Wonderfully moist, rich and delicious, with that gorgeous sticky caramel sauce soaking into the cake and a beautiful creamy topping. I honestly couldn't believe how incredibly good it was! I couldn't possibly choose a favourite course. Each dish was wonderful in its own way, and I enjoyed every single one. A special thank you to Tony, who looked after us so well throughout the evening. He was very friendly and attentive, which made our experience even more enjoyable. And of course, a big thank you to the kitchen team for the fantastic food! What a wonderful dining experience. Beautifully presented dishes, fantastic combinations of flavours and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thank you, Granary Square Brasserie! I would happily come back!”

“Pleasantly surprised at the whole experience, I always knew that the setting would be fabulous, I heard that the food was done like this and that bit what arrived was presented beautifully and tasted very well. Service was also attentive and friendly. Lovely bottle of Ivy bubbles to wash it all down. Top marks.”

“Stopped by Granary Square Brasserie for a bite to eat during a break from recording, and it’s become one of our favourite places to stop whenever we’re around King’s Cross. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a lively atmosphere, and although it was busy, the service was friendly and efficient throughout. The food was excellent, making it the perfect place to switch off for an hour before getting back to work. Great food, great service, and a brilliant atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.”

“I recently celebrated a birthday at Granary Square Brasserie, and it was the perfect spot for the occasion. The atmosphere was vibrant and busy, yet surprisingly relaxed, and the service was attentive and friendly. The menu is extensive and features all the classic dishes you’d know from The Ivy, offering plenty of choices. I opted for the fillet steak, which was cooked to absolute perfection. The duck salad is also fantastic. It’s a wonderful venue if you're looking to mark a celebration with great food and a lovely ambiance. I’ll definitely be back when in the area again!”
