Customer Review Summary

Grilled cheese draws the most repeat praise. One reviewer calls it one of the best they have had, and another found it so huge the fries alongside were not needed. A straight up cheese toasty with onion also beat one diner's wife on size. Steak comes close behind, with a juicy steak sandwich, the best steak one couple had in a long while, and mussels in a delicious sauce. Others name the tasty, moist smash burger, Caesar schnitzel, corn ribs, Turkish eggs, and avocado on toast with a poached egg, alongside good Camden beers. The complaints are modest but specific. A few find prices a little steep, one was shocked by the price of a pint, another found the steak in the Flat Iron Sandwich slightly chewy, and one felt the room was slightly cold from the back door. Service is described as friendly and attentive, and one server recommended the chicken skewers. Another waiter offered to bring a sauce on the side for a wary diner, who then loved it.

“Literally just had the best meal in a very long time here. Husband was concerned about a certain ingredient, waiter explained that although it was in the sauce it isn’t overpowering & said they would put the sauce on the side in case he didn’t like it - it was lovely so great advice! We haven’t even left yet but want to let everyone know what a fantastic place this is. Food is to die for, service is spot on & atmosphere is chilled. First time trying Camden Pale Ale - absolutely lovely & the wine list although limited has something for all tastes & is delicious. Staff very attentive without being intrusive. Here for a weekend & wish we lived closer as this would definitely become a regular spot for us. Well done to all the staff including the talented chefs! We will definitely make the trip back!”

“Day out down in London finished off with a fantastic meal. Been to Coal Drops Yard before but never eaten here. Morty and Bobs has a concise menu but this is not a bad thing. Staff very helpful in choosing what to have. 3 separate meals ordered and a side of corn ribs. Smash burger, realy tasty and moist, Caesar shnitzel was demolished and the Straight up cheese toasty with onion my wife tried to eat but the size of it beat her! Bit of a shock by the price of the beer but we are from "Up North" so not used to £8 a pint! Point to note Google maps takes to to the rear entrance which has a step so is not wheelchair accessible. The other end of the bar on the main concourse is step free.”
