  “Authentic Ethiopian food and still my favourite Ethiopian restaurant in London! The staff are always warm, friendly and attentive. The only reason for 4 stars is that I’ve noticed the portion sizes have unfortunately decreased over the past month. I hope this changes, as it’s otherwise a fantastic place that I’d happily recommend.”

  “Lovely food and fast, warm service. We visited at 6 on a Thursday, we'd booked as we thought it would be busy but it was empty, good for us as we wanted a quiet family meal at the end of a busy day. Food was excellent, vegetarian platter for three was enough for two adults and one hungry teen. Starter of hummus was very good. Plentiful injera. Nicely decorated place, loved the Ethiopian dancing on the TV”

  “Highly recommend agelgil! The food was delicious and served promptly. Traditional coffee ceremony topped off a fantastic dining experience. Beautiful ornaments, decor, and artwork make for a cosy atmosphere and nice ambience. The staff were very friendly and I the service was excellent.”

  “Had a really delicious and enjoyable meal here! We ordered the Yetesom Beyaynet Special, which was both gluten-free and vegan friendly, and it was SO tasty! The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend a visit.”

  “A smaller ethiopian restaurant with great ethiopian food. The waitress was polite and helpful. Overall very satisfied. We had "beyayinetu" a combination of different 'wots' made of meat and vegetarian dishes. Their ginger tea was also good. Prices fair for London”

  “Lovely authentic Ethiopian restaurant on Caledonian Road. Light and airy and clean, which I like as some Ethiopian restaurants can feel a bit claustrophobic. We ordered one of the vegetarian platters and one of the meat ones. That was plenty of food with some extra injera (pancakes) and one extra side dish. Bill came up to £15 per person which is great value. Food was delicious and the pancakes were very nice. Would recommend and will be back.”

  “First time trying Ethiopian food, and a fantastic introduction. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious and great value for money. Many vegetarian/vegan options, and injera is gluten free so I could eat happily here! The dishes are rich in flavour and perfect on a wet miserable day. It is a bit of a wait for the food, but definitely worth it.”

  “Delicious Ethiopian food with a friendly home cooked feel. For my first visit here We had Kitfo (Beef) & Ye Beg Wot (Lamb) and Yetesom Beyanetu (vegetarian platter) with homous & samubus as starters. Portions were generous and good value, we were stuffed! On my second visit we had the mixed platter which had a variety of meat, lentil & vegetable dishes served on Injera. Everything was great, especially the lamb awaze tibs & beef Kitfo! We had Azifa (green lentil stew) as a starter and some Tej (honey wine) to drink. Went down a treat after a hearty walk of the Seven Sisters cliffs from Seaford to Eastbourne!”
