About Asador Bar & Grill
Asador Bar & Grill is a 100% halal Argentinian steakhouse and tapas bar at 1 Leicester St, in Chinatown just off Leicester Square in London. The grill cooks steaks from premium Argentine beef over flame, and the Spanish-style tapas menu is built for sharing, so a table can try several plates. Braised feather of beef and slow roasted lamb rack are among the mains, and Prawns Al Ajillo arrives with a garlicky tomato sauce and grilled bread. The restaurant also runs a lunch time set menu and a pre-theatre menu. The dining room is small. The Leicester House Hotel is connected to the restaurant.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the braised feather of beef and the lamb, with one diner calling the slow roasted lamb rack and the feather of beef cooked perfectly and another describing the beef as extraordinarily tender. Close behind are the tapas, including prawns in garlicky tomato sauce with grilled bread, harissa halloumi with smoked honey and calamari, plus sea bass with crispy skin. Desserts such as the dulce de leche cheesecake and coconut-chia panna cotta also earn mentions. Several praise the service as smiling and attentive, and a few describe a quiet, intimate room where conversation is easy, a change from the streets outside. The main criticism comes from one reviewer who found the king platter average: the lamb chops, fillet and schnitzel were bland and unseasoned, and a fillet requested medium rare arrived almost well done, though the ribeye was cooked as asked. The same table still found the staff very accommodating to their 18 month old baby, who was welcomed throughout the meal.

“Amazing service (one of the best for service in London), we had a 18 month old baby with us and all the staff were very accommodating. Very kid friendly restaurants. Food wise is average. The best was the ribeye steak which comes perfectly cooked (medium rare as asked) but the asador king platter was average at best. The platter had lamb chops which were bland, fillet steak (ask for medium rare, arrived almost well done) was again bland with no seasoning, short rib was soft and came with a BBQ sauce, the chicken with a schnitzel which again bland. Skinny fries were nicely cooked, the starters (calamari, bosado de asador and aubercine dip with nachos) was average.”

“I loved the place, the food was amazing and we had an amazing server called Rajat! He was really friendly and had a nice chat! I had the burger with the ribs and it was nice and juicy😊 the chips were the best ever!”

“Really tasty and well put together. The prawns were juicy and full of flavour, especially with the garlicky tomato sauce perfect with the grilled bread. The grilled peppers were soft and slightly smoky, and the dip balanced them nicely. The drink was fresh and refreshing, not too sweet, and went great with the food. Cozy outdoor vibe too. Would definitely come back.”

“I tried the new Tapas Menu at Asador Bar&Grill and the experience was incredible. The care put into each dish is evident: intense flavors, quality ingredients, and impeccable presentation. The new tapas concept is brilliantly thought out because you can try several options, and absolutely everything was top. In addition, the atmosphere is super pleasant, the service is attentive and fast, and there's that welcoming touch that makes you want to come back again. Ideal for a quiet dinner or for going out with friends and sharing. Without a doubt, this is a place that's really raising the bar. Highly recommended if you want to eat well and enjoy a unique experience.”
