  “Honestly, this is easily one of my favourite Japanese dining experiences in London. I genuinely felt like I wasn’t just eating Japanese food — I was experiencing a piece of art. 🍣🎨 The luxury sushi box was absolutely stunning, both in presentation and taste. Every piece was beautifully prepared and tasted incredibly fresh. The attention to detail was impressive, and everything felt very carefully thought through. We also tried the lychee prawn balls, Japanese gyoza, vegetable tempura and wagyu fried rice. The wagyu fried rice was definitely a highlight for me — rich, flavourful and seriously satisfying. The whole experience was elegant without feeling overly formal, and the food was genuinely memorable. If you’re looking for Japanese food in Covent Garden that feels a little different from the usual, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try. Can’t wait to come back! 🍣✨”

  “The food was very good and everything tasted fresh. We ordered the sashimi set for two, tuna avocado uramaki and the wagyu ebi roll. All of them were tasty and nicely presented, although the portions were quite small for the price. I also really appreciated that they had gluten free soy sauce available. The service was thoughtful too. They had planned a birthday cake, but because they were concerned about a possible egg allergy, they gave us a complimentary drink instead. It was a very considerate gesture and made the evening feel special. Overall, lovely food and attentive service, but I would have preferred slightly more generous portions.”

  “Came here for lunch on Wednesday. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and with the weather being around 30°C, the air conditioning was excellent, making it a very comfortable place to dine. The food was of good quality and tasted great. The staff were polite and friendly, and the overall dining experience was very enjoyable. I would definitely come back.”

  “Amazing food and excellent service! The sushi was incredibly fresh, the presentation was beautiful. The specialty rolls and seafood pasta were both outstanding. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and high-quality ingredients throughout. Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve visited.”

  “We've been here twice. The first time we had the buffet, everything tasted good and they kept refilling the food quickly. We tried the sukiyaki this time. The portions were really generous, enough for one person. We also got a sashimi set, the wagyu nigiri was tasty, definitely recommend it. The restaurant has air conditioning.”

  “Wonderful birthday celebration meal at Akatuki Covent Garden for the whole family. Some classic dishes like Unagi Don are executed to perfection with premium ingredients (and biggest serving of eel I’ve ever had!) with a few fusiony dishes like the black truffle wagyu fried rice that was delicious. The seafood curry udon was unexpectedly creamy! Lovely ambience in a spacious dining room. Thoroughly recommended!”

  “We had a really lovely late dinner. The service was great and we got some good recommendations from Cheche when ordering. It was a nice end to our evening. We enjoyed the food as well as the presentation and attention to detail. The staff were really accommodating as we were one of the last bookings of the night but didn't feel rushed. We wanted to order dessert but felt too full however Cheche still gave us a small taster portion to try of the ice cream flavours we were intrigued by which was very kind.”

  “Great experience overall, definitely one of those places that feels worth the visit. I’d highly recommend coming when you’re properly hungry, especially after a workout or a long day, so you can really make the most of the menu. The Wagyu hotpot is incredibly rich and comforting, with deep, satisfying flavours that feel indulgent without being overwhelming. The ribeye steak is another highlight,perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavour. The quality of the ingredients really stands out, and you can tell a lot of care goes into both preparation and presentation. The atmosphere adds to the experience too, making it a great spot for either a relaxed dinner or something a bit more special. Overall, a memorable meal that I’d happily come back for.”

  “The sushi box for 2 has very fresh sashimi and nigiri, however the rice was a bit disappointing- it could be more firmly stuck together, and they should serve a bit more. It was nicely presented and perfect for photos. To my surprise, the eel tempura was the highlight of the whole meal. It was very warm and crispy, and the eel tasted very fatty and juicy, it melts into your mouth. I would definitely come back for the eel tempura. Overall, the food is great but it’s quite expensive.”
