About Yakiniku Like

Yakiniku Like is a Japanese restaurant at 47 Greek St in London, built for people who want to grill a meal on their own. Hosted by Kintan Japanese BBQ, it gives each seat a personal smokeless roaster, so solo diners cook the ready-to-grill meat and add the sauce themselves. Orders go in by scanning a QR code at the table, and ordering is individual, which makes splitting a bill straightforward. Sets come with rice, salad, miso soup and a choice of meat, including the galbi short plate set and the UK Wagyu strip steak set, with portions starting at 100g. Pork belly is among the a la carte meats. The restaurant is open daily and does not take bookings, so guests walk in. A queue forms outside at rush hours and on Saturday evenings. Each table has a 50-minute dining limit, and the restaurant is not suitable for children under 6.

Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the set meals, especially the kalbi short plate set with rice, salad and miso soup, which reviewers repeatedly call good value for central London. Close behind are the lunch sets of pork shoulder and chicken teriyaki, plus a la carte chicken thighs, sausage and wagyu. Reviewers like grilling the meat and applying the sauce themselves, and ordering by QR code makes bill splitting easy. Several say food arrives quickly. The recurring complaint is the queue at rush hours and on Saturday evenings. Reviewers also mention a strict dining time limit. One says the wagyu was marinated and alright but not a premium cut, and another found the beef skirt slightly tough. Service is called efficient by some and not the best by one. One group who ordered extra a la carte meats after their sets barely finished before the limit, and they felt extra orders should earn more time.

“their 9.9£ lunch set is really unmatchable in terms of value! you get 150g of meat as well as rice, 2 salads and a miso soup. the meal was extremely tasty, though the beef skirt cut was slightly tough but still tasty. very efficient service and pleasant environment”

“This has to be the best Japanese bbq in soho! The value of money for a great tasting food is hard not to rate 5/5. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was sort of quiet and steady. Got served straight away after ordering through their qr code. They also have so many other deals like the £9.99, which is amazing!! Definitely coming back ✨”

“There’s waiting but we didn’t wait that much because there is only 2 of us. All The food tastes great including the miso soup, sausage and salads. I like the fact that they have sets so it’s easy order. Ala carte is also easy. They have wifi passwords on the table which I didn’t noticed as you have to scan the QR code from the table and order from there. The serving is just enough and satisfying. And it’s reasonably priced.”
