The food here is good - loved the flaky parata, the chicken curry and the crunchy, fried okra fries. But it was the lamb chops, succulent and flavourful with Gods own country spices that was the show stopper. Service was lack lustre and the ambiance was moot, but this is still a smart, Desi gastropub.”

  “The Tamil Prince is such a great spot in London with a lively atmosphere and a really nice location for grabbing a meal after exploring the area. The restaurant has a cozy pub-style setting with amazing South Indian flavors. We tried the channa bhature, okra fries, masala dosa, and coconut pilau rice. Every single dish was delicious and packed with flavor. We didn’t have a reservation and still got lucky with a table, but I’d definitely recommend booking ahead because the place gets busy fast. One of our favorite dining experiences in London for sure.”

  “This has now become my favourite Indian place in London. I’ve done a few but this definitely lived up to its hype. Every single dish was outstanding, with the highlight for me being the lamb chops. The service was a little quick and rushed at first but we spoke with the staff and they corrected it right away, and were very understanding and nice about it, which adds to the nice experience we’ve had. I highly highly recommend to anyone, and will be back asap!! Thank you for the great evening”

  “Food is decent but quite pricey for the portion sizes. I would’ve wished there were more things to balance out the flavours of the dishes since everything is quite rich and it was a lot of the same spicy flavor profile. My favorites were the dosa and grilled sea bass. The restaurant is located on a cozy quiet street in Islington with nice outdoor and indoor bar seating.”

  “Had a lovely meal at the Tamil prince tried abit of everything the starters were amazing, personally this was the highlight to our meal! The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were super attentive and welcoming! (My only improvement would be the size of the soft drinks the Coke Zero was the smallest ml and costed £4 it should be clear on the menu as it doesn’t even fill a cup) the food was lovely and super flavourful the paneer curry was amazing with the naan. Would definitely go again!”
