About The Windsor Castle
The Windsor Castle is a London pub at 114 Campden Hill Rd, between Notting Hill, Holland Park and Kensington. The kitchen cooks British pub food, with pies of the day on the menu and a Sunday roast offered as chicken, beef or a veggie roast. The bar pours cider on tap and wines by the glass, so a meal can be paired with a drink from the same counter. Dogs are welcome. Reservations are required. The pub also takes bookings for events, private hire and weddings.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast draws the most mixed attention here. One diner praises a Sunday night roast with big portions, alongside chicken, beef roast and schnitzel, and another enjoys roast and fish and chips in a cosy, dim-lit room, though their potatoes were still quite hard. A vegetarian roast fared worst: the Yorkshire pudding was old and crunchy from reheating, and the flavourless vegetables needed loads of gravy. Close behind is the beer garden, which reviewers call lovely, with heaters, and one describes sitting out there over pies of the day, a cod fillet with crunchy rosti chips, and sticky toffee pudding with ginger ice-cream. A regular recommends the scotch eggs and the pies. Service earns repeated praise, with several thanking one server for looking after them and others calling the staff welcoming and homely. The sharpest complaint comes from a large group celebration booked two months ahead, where the table was too small and several guests spent part of the evening standing.

“On a windy Wednesday afternoon, it was a peaceful place to be...cosy sitting outside in the beer garden. Hearty menu of the usual suspects, including pies of the day and a cod fillet with crunchy rosti chips. Deliciously chilled cider on tap plus decent selection of wines by the glass. Sticky toffee pudding with ginger ice-cream to finish. Sweet, attentive staff.”

“I would absolutely recommend this place! The food is fantastic, the menu is really smart, and the atmosphere is truly brilliant. A huge thanks to Daniel and Shafayet for the amazing service. I loved it so much that I came back the very next day with a friend of mine for lunch! Honestly, such a wonderful place. All my love to the amazing people behind it! x”

“We were there to celebrate a friend and the booking had been made around two months beforehand for a large group. Despite this, when we arrived there simply wasn’t enough space at the table for everyone. Several members of our group were left standing, and we spent part of the evening trying to work out where everyone could sit rather than actually enjoying the celebration. For a booking made that far ahead, I really don’t understand how the venue could accept the number of guests without making sure there was suitable space for them. We weren’t expecting anything extravagant, just enough seating for the number of people included in the reservation.”

“Popped in with a few friends after a photography walk for a couple of pints and a debrief. Really enjoyed the venue. The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. Will come back next time I'm in the area.”

“The Windsor Castle is wonderful, warm, perfect, charming, tasty, memorable, welcoming, romantic, fun, and much much more. This meal was our very first at this, our favorite, destination in London. We were turned on to The Windsor Castle by Stefano Fugelere, author of Spy Games, who wrote about his clandestine meetings at The Windsor Castle. We've returned multiple times and you will too! Highly recommended!!!”
