About The Grange

The Grange is a pub on Warwick Rd in London with a large garden and a summer house that can be hired for private events, giving groups room to gather. The bar pours cask ales and craft beer alongside wines and spirits. The kitchen runs a seasonal British menu, with chicken and bacon pie and fish pie among the mains and sticky toffee pudding on the dessert list. A roast menu offers several choices, including a lighter summer option and a porchetta roast, and a specials board runs alongside it. Bookings are taken. Parking is on the green nearby, and spaces can be hard to find on busy days.

Customer Review Summary

Diners most often return to The Grange for the Sunday roast, with one reviewer praising the porchetta and trimmings and another noting loads of roast options, including a lighter summer choice and a specials board. The chicken and bacon pie with plenty of gravy gets a mention, and the sticky toffee pudding is called great by two reviewers, though a third finds it dry and says the crumble is just breadcrumbs. Food draws mixed reactions: one group found the fish pie flavourless and the pea soup basic, and others mention a roast that was slightly underseasoned or a little cold. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, attentive and welcoming, without hovering or rushing tables. The garden and heated outdoor seating are liked, and one reviewer holds a small wedding meal in the summer house. Noise on a Sunday afternoon bothered one visitor, and some say parking is difficult. Several visitors on Heathrow layovers stopped by for a pint and lunch, and one found the staff squeezed them in when the inside tables were nearly full.

“Lovely service from Katy and the rest of staff. Nice Sunday roast, slightly underseasoned. Air conditioned None of the desserts particularly good. Best get ice cream. Crumble is just breadcrumbs. Sticky toffee pudding is dry. Can park nearby on weekend”

“Food was really yummy (even though it was a little cold) and the staff were lovely. Loads of different roast options including a lighter summer option as well as a specials board. Unfortunately lots of noise which made the Sunday early afternoon atmosphere a bit unpleasant. Highly recommend otherwise.”

“We had an amazing Father’s Day at The Grange on Sunday. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, the garden was beautiful and a lovely place to relax, and Larissa provided friendly, knowledgeable service that made the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend The Grange and look forward to returning.”

“Had a lovely Sunday afternoon lunch. I had the chicken and bacon pie... came with a carrot puree and plenty of gravy. Managed to find room for the sticky toffee pudding as well. Great atmosphere, could hold a decent conversation with everyone around the table. Customer service was outstanding. Kept on checking in with us, but not so much where it was annoying. Thought it was reasonably priced. If I remember correctly worked out to about £40 ahead... that included mains, deserts, coffees and about 3 drinks each. Didn't rush us out to fit another table in, let us enjoy our lunch in our own time. Would definitely go again. Plenty of parking around the green as well.”

“Lovely place with a pleasant atmosphere, nice outdoor seating and heaters, which made it comfortable to sit outside. The staff were friendly, smiling and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. The sticky toffee pudding was great, and the drinks were very nice too. It is a good spot for a relaxed visit, especially if you want somewhere with a warm outdoor area. The only downside is that parking can be quite difficult, so it is worth allowing extra time before your booking. Overall, a nice experience and I would happily recommend it.”
