  “A really enjoyable evening. It was 5 of us; we each got a cheese platter and 4 glasses of wine to try. Our host was excellent; very friendly, incredible knowledge about wine and an infectious passion for them. Will definitely be back!”

  “Please don’t. This is not a place to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night. It’s not cool. Looked liked I walked into a granny’s living room. Just everything about this place is ‘awkward’ couldn’t have a conversation as I could hear others and loud music in my ear. A small environment unless you want others to hear your convo. Couldn’t swing a cat in this place. On arrival we were offered cocktails- thought this was a wine bar! The wines are not elaborate and over priced. One round and we left and then to to be charged service charge. Farcical. This place is not as advertised it is located in an old house and not the vintage garage.”

  “Hidden gem in Brentford! If you enjoy wine and a cozy environment to meet a friend or do a wine tasting with a group, Plonkers is 👌 Christine is a fantastic host and knows her wines very well! I hosted my birthday party here in March and 12 of us had a fantastic evening with wine tasting, cheese pairing and a beautiful charcuterie platter. The cost per person is great value for money. Our tasting including cheese pairing was around £45/person including a welcome drink and very generous portions of wine and cheese. I’ve stopped in on a random Saturday evening and the same service and ambience was still there. In the summer, they host events on the rooftop next door, which I’m looking forward to checking out soon. Highly recommend!”

  “Having drank here a few times in both venues, I really enjoyed the laid back feel. Staff are very friendly. I went for a wine tasting one of the evenings and it great craic. Reasonably priced wine and an enthusiastic staff. Fair play to the guys. I thought it peaked when they were in the old premises but it just feels as special now.”
