Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the generous, well-executed Spanish and Brazilian dishes, with paella and feijoada repeatedly named and the Sunday special menu also praised. Close behind are the welcoming service and celebratory touches, as several describe surprise birthday desserts like a decorated ice cream board. The homemade kombucha and lemon iced tea earn specific mentions, while the outdoor garden, with its covered, vineyard-like setting, is frequently cited as a tranquil highlight. A few note the attentive, family-run atmosphere and the visually appealing presentation of the food.

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday at The Tapestry Tapas Bar this February, and it was truly one of the best decisions I’ve made. …

My friends and I went for Sunday lunch. I know Jackson (the owner) and he was there to greet us, calling us VIPs and making sure we were comfortable on the table I'd reserved with furry seats, next to a window, and beside a log fire. …

OK, rewind...first I accidentally posted this about the wrong location, The Pottery Tapas Bar 😅 however it is The Tapestry's other site. I only discovered this amazing tapas bar last week. They arrange private parties and on the Saturday I was invited to one of them. The service was really friendly and efficient. Atmosphere pumping yet other smaller tables enjoyed dining out. Now, the food I didn't get the chance to taste but anything that was coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely mouthwatering such as the pork belly, nachos or the patatas pravas. This Tapestry in Mortlake is closed for refurbishment for the next few weeks but there is another one in Kingston ie. The Pottery, yay 🙌 Highly recommended to dine out or to have parties 🥳 you are guaranteed to meet a great bunch of people!

Brought my Mother here for her birthday with my family - WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME. I’d give Pottery Tapas bar a 10/10 score. The service from the owner and staff, the attention to detail and the food was EXCELLENT!!! 😍💯. Despite only booking a hour before, the owner wrote “Happy Birthday mum” on a large chalk board and even surprised mum with a beautifully decorated ice cream dessert board which said “Happy Birthday”. The owner and staff went the extra mile and it did not go unnoticed ❤️. Loved the atmosphere and we’ll be coming here again - Tahindri.

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
