“We had a wonderful family birthday celebration on Saturday evening, thanks to the fantastic team at the Nelson (& also thanks to England’s win at the end of the night!). Many thanks for the great food, efficient service, and for letting us have whole far end of the garden, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. We were over 50 people over the course of the afternoon & evening. We’ve recently also been at a friend’s party there (which was indoors with a band). In my humble opinion, and based on these two parties, the Nelson provides really good value for money in a perfect party venue! (& it’s a great local pub for a drink/ meal too!)”

“Of the two pubs in the area we visited this place was closer, right down the street from where we were staying. The staff there was really nice and friendlier(had quite a few laughs) and the food was really good too. Plus side is they had a meatless menu which my wife was happy about. I can’t remember what my wife had but it was an interesting twist on the steamed bun.”
