About The Coronet
The Coronet is an art deco pub in London at 338 Holloway Rd, housed in the former Savoy Cinema building from the 1940s. The space is vast, and that scale gives the pub room for seating arranged around a central console, with stairs and high bar chairs. Carpet covers the floor. The bar serves cask and keg beers. This is an Arsenal pub, with club flags and shirts on display and TVs throughout, and it gets busy on match days near the Emirates. The menu follows a Wetherspoons style, though the pub is no longer part of that chain. Breakfast is a large one, served with unlimited coffee.

Customer Review Summary
Football match days are the main draw at this former cinema, where reviewers describe a sea of red Arsenal shirts, TVs throughout and a buzzing crowd around games. Food earns steady praise, including an outstanding burger and a large breakfast with unlimited coffee, while one reviewer calls the pint of Abbott the best they have found. Drinks are repeatedly described as cheap or reasonably priced, and a Champions ale and a choice of cask and keg beers get a mention. Several admire the vast art deco building and its history as a cinema, and staff are called pleasant, efficient and friendly even when busy. The caveats are gloomy evening lighting and the stairs and high bar chairs, which one reviewer says make it difficult for less-able visitors. One reviewer notes it is no longer a Wetherspoons. Another had an order go missing at the till on a packed match day, and the manager sorted it quickly so they caught their bus home.

“Absolutely fantastic experience at The Coronet today for the Arsenal-Chelsea match. Great location near the Emirates stadium. TVs throughout, buzzing atmosphere, and excellent service. The burger was outstanding, and drinks were reasonably priced. Friendly staff even with the busy crowd. I highly recommend The Coronet for football, food, and a great match-day vibe. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars, and I’ll definitely be back 😁🇬🇧🍺”

“came here for some food and drink after watching arsenal women’s first WSL game. unaware it was an arsenal pub we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and sea of red arsenal shirts 😍 we ordered some food and drink, although there was an issue with our order (issue with the till or the order wasn’t put through properly by one of the staff) this was recognised by who i believe to have been the manager on shift - not sure of his name but was late 20s/early 30s with a slight eastern european accent - i do apologise if this is incorrect! he kindly helped us with our order and made sure we got our food which was greatly appreciated, as we were in a slight rush to get our bus home back to bristol shortly afterwards. a very smooth solution to something that could have easily been drawn out on what was an exceptionally busy few hours for all staff at the venue. thank you!”

“2024 Update: No longer a Wetherspoons. Absolutely devastating for the community. Original review: Our local Spoons, we've been here about six times since moving to the area and we've never been disappointed. The chap with the piercing just below their lip went above and beyond to give us excellent service today, thank you.”

“I didn't eat on this visit, but I did enjoy a Champions ale by Twickenham. I was really impressed with the art deco building inside and out. I was told by a customer that this one may be closing? Hopefully, it doesn't close. Lauren is a keen member of staff and very polite. Very reasonable prices 👌”
