About Bank of Friendship
Bank of Friendship is a pub in London at 226 Blackstock Rd, with a wood-clad interior split across two bars, one on the left and one on the right. A period fireplace, red pub carpet and buttoned fabric banquettes furnish the rooms. The beer list runs from big-name brands to local London brews and cask ales, with beer on tap. Pizza comes from Yard Sale Pizza, a separate kitchen rather than an in-house one. At the back, a heated beer garden gives the pub a second drinking space, with lots of benches. The pub is walk-in, with no reservations. Payment is accepted by cash or card.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come mainly for the beer, praising a broad range on tap and cask, from big name beers to local London brews, with a Pillars Pilsner singled out as a great pint. The large garden is close behind, described as buzzy with plenty of benches, though one reviewer says it gets rather busy on weekends and summer days and suggests coming early for a table, and another finds it a little covered for a summer day. Inside, diners mention fabric benches, proper pub carpet and a fireplace, and the pub is called a decent boozer for before or after Arsenal games. Pizza comes from a separate kitchen, with yard sale pizza and a monster munch pizza named. Service divides opinion. Some call the bartenders friendly and welcoming, but two reviewers fault the Guinness, one describing a sloppy pour served without a greeting and another saying the barman took no pride in it. One reviewer was let down that dogs were not allowed even in the garden. One visitor loved the fireplace on a very cold night.

“Cannot review the pizzas (from another kitchen) or cocktails (although would come back to try one) but this is a buzzy pub with reasonable prices for wine and nonalcoholic spritz. Can get rather busy in the garden on the weekend and summer day with locals so come early if you want a table outside.”

“Lovely boozer with nice seating and a great selection of beers. Only 4 stars because the barman who served me clearly had zero pride in his Guinness pour.”

“Beautiful pub, amazing garden, let down by not allowing dogs even in the garden, seems crazy with such a great outdoor space but no doubt still a great pub”

“The pub is a nice enough place background music very pleasant. However customer service atrocious, unwelcoming and inhospitable. I order a pint of Guinness no communication or even a Hello. The Guinness was served badly and sloppy. If the barman doesn’t want to do the job why is he there. I’ve been looking forward to going into this pub for a very long time. I was extremely disappointed.”
