About The Twelve Pins
Next to Finsbury Park station on Seven Sisters Rd in London, The Twelve Pins is a pub named after an Irish mountain range. Its screens show football matches, so it works as a match-day venue for fans heading to or from the station. The bar pours a wide range of keg beers and ciders. Food comes from a pub menu, with a chalkboard of daily specials alongside it. A spice bag and salt and pepper chips sit on that menu, and they pair with the football on the screens. The Sunday roast comes with lamb or beef, Yorkshire pudding, potato gratin and mashed swede. Orders go in at the bar, and the team brings the food to the table.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to match days, calling it a perfect venue for watching football, with good screen selection and a brilliant atmosphere. Food draws close behind: the roast with lamb or beef, Yorkshire pudding and potato gratin, plus fish and chips and salt and pepper chips, with one noting plenty of empty plates heading back to the kitchen. Several describe lovely, friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks, and one mentions a wide range of keg beers but no cask ales. The caveat is management. Three reviewers describe confrontations with the bar manager or landlady. One says a request to swap a wrong drink ended with being told to leave, another says a door was shut in their face when they offered to help clear up after a parade, and a third reports being pushed and a friend being pushed off the porch. Another reviewer found beers pre-poured and a request for ice in a pint of water refused, calling it petty. One reviewer returned to the pub despite calling the atmosphere brilliant even while describing the service as horrible.

“We were treated aggressively and unprofessionally by the landlady. The entrance was completely blocked by the football crowd, and we had already moved as far as possible. Despite this, the landlady pushed me and spoke to my friend in a rude and abusive manner before calling security. Outside, she pushed my other friend off the porch, causing her to have a panic attack. This behaviour is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of pubs in the area where customers are treated with basic respect.”

“Came here on a whim as me and my partner were in the area. Reasonable price for drinks in London and also snacked on the salt and pepper chips which were delicious. Lovely staff and great tunes 👌 would love to try the spice bag when i’m back in the area.”

“I have been here many times pre match. I went before a concert yesterday and it was much quieter than match days. Despite this beers were 3/4 pre poured and then left under a tap or was it the next tap. Pretty sure I never got the beer I asked for or maybe a mixture. Alongside my 4 drinks that I spent £30 on I asked for a pint of water with ice. I was refused the ice. This has never happened anywhere else I have ever been. Very petty.”

“I was extremely disappointed with the management of this pub at Arsenals parade. I appreciate it was an extremely busy and chaotic day and they didn’t open during the parade. We were stood outside this pub for the parade and when the crowds started to leave a few of us waiting for a bit longer decided to help the staff clear up the mess left behind. Member of staff offered gloves and told me to collect them from the bar, however, when I went to the door the manger shut the door in my face and told me the bar wasn’t open. When I explained I was told to collect gloves as I was helping to clear the mess outside she very rudely told me to go away and that she didn’t need help. When I explained we had already been helping she rudely continued to tell me to go away and that she had staff to clear the mess. I appreciate she had staff but there was a lot of mess left behind and all we were doing was helping out while we waited. Disappointed in her attitude is an understatement and we will not be going back to this venue. Such a shame on one of the best days in Arsenal’s journey.”

“What a brilliant pub. The hospitality is top notch. Big shoutout to all that work here, especially Jerry that made sure we were comfortable! Definitely recommend and will definitely return!”
