Reviewers most often mention roast pork sandwich, outdoor seating, roast dinner and local cask beers.
Customer Review Summary
Outdoor seating on a sunny day is what reviewers praise most, with plentiful street tables and a quiet residential corner, and one visitor found it bustling at Sunday lunchtime. Beer is close behind: diners mention local cask and keg choices, Menabrea and Victoria lagers, and a cold pint of Alhambra, alongside wine and a few cocktails. Food draws praise too. One reviewer recommends the roast pork, fennel and salsa verde sandwich, another calls the roast trout perfectly cooked, and the patatas bravas and chorizo tapa get enthusiastic mentions. The staff are repeatedly described as friendly and easygoing, and one regular notes the relaxed approach to ordering at the bar. The complaints are about consistency. One diner found the Sunday roast grim, with hard potatoes, minted peas that clashed with the pork and bad gravy. Another says the limited menu tends to run out of dishes over the evening. One reviewer also singles out a live band that plays on a midweek night.

“Lovely pub with a warm atmosphere and friendly service. I had the roast trout, which was perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavour. Great food, relaxed setting, and a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Would happily return.”

“On the plus side this pub has a nice atmosphere, nice decor and the bar staff seem completely fine. On the downside the roast dinner I had was really grim. Hard potatoes, minted peas that tasted weird with the pork, the pork wasn’t very nice either, bad gravy. The chocolate pot pudding was nice and the coffee was nice. So, overall, a mixed bag. I wouldn’t go there for roast again. Shame.”

“Lovely local pub to enjoy sunny days. The “Patatas bravas” and the “chorizo” tapa are amazing 🤩”

“Very nice lunch on a beautiful sunny day in North London. Plentiful outdoor seating in the sun. Good selection of food offerings at reasonable prices, all very tasty”

“I live near the Landseer and it’s a great place to meet up with friends. They are casual about orders so people can come and go some just having a pint and others with whole meals just go to the bar and order what you want, when you want. The staff are friendly and easygoing. The food is very good but there are limited options and they do tend to run out of things over the evening. The pub itself is cosy inside and has additional seating outside on a quiet corner in a residential area.”
