Customer Review Summary
Pizzas come up most, described as freshly made and delicious, and one reviewer pairs them with a great setting. Close behind are the mains: the bavette steak, pork loin, fish and chicken liver, and a roast pork sandwich with fried potatoes and garlic aioli, though one reviewer found the chimichurri on the sandwich tasted a bit like soap. Desserts, a lunchtime menu, a great wine menu, beers on tap and non-alcoholic beer on tap also earn praise. The space is roomy, light and airy, with skylights, outdoor seating and a welcome for dogs. Service divides reviewers. Some find it friendly and quick, but two describe staff as unfriendly and abrupt, one noting no smiling and a decline in their visits as a result. The more detailed complaint comes from a lunch visitor who says bar staff ignored them until they coughed, then rolled their eyes over a payment mix-up. The same reviewer says staff kept using an electronic fly killer after being asked to stop because it distressed their dog, and then said they had forgotten.

“Stopped in here for a bite to eat before a gig at the Dome. The pizzas were freshly made and delicious. I was also pleasantly surprised to find they had non-alcoholic beer on tap. If I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely pop in.”

“Nice local pub. Busy bar area and separate dining area. Outdoor seating. Great wine menu. Gastro pub offerings but also good pizza if you fancy something less pricey and fancy.”

“The setting is great and pizzas too, but the staff are just really unfriendly. I'm not sure why that is, because it's always different staff, so maybe just the way staff is trained. There is no smiling, they speak quite abruptly and are just generally not very helpfu or welcoming. I used to come here a lot but now it taints my experience every time and I have been coming here less. It's too bad because otherwise this place is great, and I wish management would do something about it.”
