  “Absolutely yes another Harveys hidden gem on the outskirts of East Grinstead. The body of water running under the premises is just a lovely touch for the ones who want to have a feel to the country puba around the area. Its warm and welcoming feel from staff and the pub itself makes you want to stay for more. We were on a tight schedule unfortunately, but next time me and my better half will abaolitely wouls like to book a table at the back of the pub, and explore the surroundings a bit more. One thing that was out of this world is their Steak and Blue cheese sandwiches: oh my Days, what an amazing surprise. Charcoaled strips of steak it didn't taste like it was grilled on a skillet, but flame grilled. Both the flatbread and ciabatta were soft and light, not at all heavy as you would expect with bread. Such a joy to discover such dish. Another unfortunate unforeseen circumstance was the weather. I'd love to visit this place when it's sunnier: I'm sure it's going to be as beautiful, if not even more magical than it was when we visited the first time. Oh, how could I forget?! The Harveys Sussex Best is one of the finest pint we have ever tasted. We will be back again.”

  “We happened upon the Old Dunnings Mill by chance, and jolly glad we did; friendly staff, excellent food and well kept beer all in nice chilled surroundings. There was an extensive menu with Daily Themed food, we opted for Two Steaks for the price of one as it was a Thursday - juicy flavourful rib-eyes that were delicious. We highly recommend this gem of an establishment.”

  “Tried this pub on a whim... Like to try new places Plenty of parking, quirky water mill, however not working on our visit. Got drinks @ the bar. This where it goes wrong. Drinks Guinness & a Pink Gin & Lemonade NO ice. The Ice came Dinner 2x Steak Ale pie, plates to big for what's served. Veg I could count the peas on 1 hand mixed in with the baggage. 2nd round of drinks Guinness & a Pink Gin & Lemonade no ice in a standard tumbler. The ice didn't come this time but the tumbler didn't arrive. Asked for a tumbler as the large fish bowl glass 🍷 seems to drown the Spirit, always over loaded with the mixer. Adding the ice waters it down even more. What happend in asking if ice is needed ? Had a side of Pork crackling - very over salted & not what deem to be Crackling more of a pork scratching All for the some of £60 It's pub food Doubt a revisit will be order for us. It's amazing when the establishment replies with Sarcasm. The establishment haven't really read the review properly. Maybe bullet points will help. Big fish bowl glass over loaded with ice & mixer. Did ask for NO ICE. Second Gin order asked for a tumbler glass NO ICE. although NO ICE still came in a fish bowl glass. Maybe LISTEN & ask if ice is required. Food, plates to big for what's presented I appreciate the sides are extra. For the DM of the establishment. Read properly what is being mentioned. Some people DONT like ICE, some people LIKE a different glass. All of which was asked for & in 1 way or another wasn't fulfilled. Just for the record pork scratchings which were very over salted ARE NOT pork Crackling. Cooked a pork joint, now that's pork crackling”

  “Had a great Sunday roast here, we were a group of 12, mixed adults and kids and were really well looked after. We did pre-book our food, as requested, hence it all arrived at the same time and was great, proper home cooked food with really generous portions, it might not have been the fanciest but it was delicious and we were a very satisfied crew at the end.”

  “Can’t recommend enough. Food was wonderful and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Megan made sure our drinks were always full and assured our table was clean and tidy. She made us feel so welcome. Ended up staying longer than intended as had such a lovely time. Thank you to all the Dunnings Staff”

  “This pub/restaurant is excellent. It’s spacious, with cosy nooks and crannies as well as a large outside area. The building is picturesque, prettied up with flowers and hanging baskets, especially near the entrance. This area features a water wheel and a flowing stream. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food is very tasty. We visited from outside the area due to the consistently good reviews, and we weren’t disappointed. It was a Friday night in August, so quite busy, but this didn’t affect the excellent service. Parking did seem limited, but we managed to find a space.”

  “For me, best pub in East Grinstead: - Traditional, low beam ceilings, log fires - Free, easy parking - Private dining rooms - Linked to Harvey's brewery - Kids play area - Beer garden front, and decking seats at rear - Great food - Always decent service - Food hygiene rating 5 - Dog friendly The only slight downside is the beer garden is not fully secluded / private. Other than that, it's a great pub that takes you back in time.”

  “Nice setting for a pub, always space inside and space in the car park. Not the biggest selection of beers, but enough if you're only popping in. Had a late lunch here with the family the other day - food was great! Unfortunately not everything on the menu was available and the wait time was quite long. But overall, a good enough experience!”
