About Dambusters Inn
Dambusters Inn is a themed village pub at 23 High St in Scampton, Lincoln, set in a building that was formerly the local post office. The walls carry Dambusters and Dams Raid RAF memorabilia, including Lancaster bomber objects, photos of the Dams Raid aircrew, replica medals and poppies. The displays run through the pub's multiple rooms. A micro brewery is part of the business, and the bar pours eight real ales alongside a wide range of beers. Food is served as well. Dogs are welcome. Three parking spaces sit in front of the pub, and other parking is on the village roads.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the Dambusters memorabilia, from the Lancaster bomber objects to photos of the Dams Raid aircrew with replica medals and poppies, which several say fills the pub and keeps them reading the walls. Food comes close behind, with the pecan pie, onion rings, chicken strips and Grimsby haddock singled out, and one diner says everything was cooked to perfection. Staff are described as friendly, and the real ales and beer range get praise. Dogs are welcomed, and one reviewer's nervous dog took treats from the bar staff. The main complaints are mixed. One visitor found the meat, prawns and salad poor across two visits, another found table service rather slow, and one dislikes the corridor to the toilets, which they say smells. One reviewer notes that early booking is necessary. A wheelchair user describes staff quickly moving chairs to make room.

“Very welcoming...we required room for wheelchair and staff quickly moved chairs to accommodate us. Lovely food...great range of beer. Great to see a busy pub on a Tuesday lunchtime. Will definitely call again”

“We had a wonderful dinner at The Dambusters Inn. It came highly recommended by numerous guests at the cottage we were staying in locally so we tired it out! Everything was delicious. Food cooked to perfection. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. The young ladies who served us are a credit to the establishment! Atmosphere was delightful! We would highly recommend a visit here!”

“Wonderful historic country pub filled with RAF memorabilia. Friendly staff serving classic pub meals. Grimsby Haddock was really enjoyable.”

“Went here for an evening meal. Food was great- I had the chicken strips and onion rings. Chicken stripes were delicious, especially the veg- the broccoli and cauliflower were so succulent! If visiting, I would absolutely recommend the onion rings- they were perfect! For dessert, I had a very yummy pecan pie; treacly and delicious 😋 . The service was quick and lovely. Only complaint is the toilets. The corridor to the toilets is very creepy and stinks like wee! The toilets themselves are alright, yet are far below the cozy and super atmosphere in the rest of the pub. Plus, the decorations in the ladies seem to me to have a sexist undertone- instead of celebrating female flying achievements as the rest of the decorations do throughout the pub for men, they condone a very vintage view of femininity. Not cool. All in all, would definitely recommend a visit for some good food and good drink, especially if one is a fan of aviation/ World War Two/ RAF history.”
