Customer Review Summary
Split experiences shape the picture. Several diners single out the riverside setting and friendly staff, with the beef, ale and mushroom pie earning repeated praise and a dog breakfast winning one family over. Close behind, the food gets called great with decent prices and ample parking. A recurring complaint runs the other way: multiple reviewers describe bar staff as rude and dismissive, with sarcastic greetings and ignored customers.

“Lovely pub on the river the beef ale and mushroom pie was amazing staff all friendly and smiling unfortunately I was driving so I can't comment on the beer but they did have a good selection I will definitely go back if I'm ever in the area”

“Was going to order food with the family, decided not to after one of the bar staff (young male) was sarcastic about finding a table. And he didn't bother to top up the Guinness. Been many years ago, was nice shame.”
- John Gidman
“Great food, good choice, decent prices, lots of parking.”
- Chelsey Cottrill
“I live nearby and go often and every single time I go the staff are so rude. A man with a mustache at the bar said “we’re fully booked!” In a bored voice as soon as we walked in. But then we asked if we could sit outside for a drink “if you can find a seat”. He treated us like he didn’t want us there. Then another day two male members of staff were too busy chatting and joking to notice customers waiting at the bar for several minutes. And then when we called excuse me they acted like we’d interrupted them. Then we asked for the WiFi password and were told it’s only for people staying over. Then we asked for menus another time and were pointed to the other side of the bar to go and get them ourselves. Which we did. But the staff are just always rude, poor service. The river is nice though. And if it’s sunny it’s nice outside. Not tried the cognito bit.”

“我不知道为什么这个价格会有人来住宿。 离市中心距离十分远 高速公路下面晚上吵到想死。Wi-Fi一会儿有一会儿没有太差了。这个价钱为什么不住在市中心呢?”
