  “Not the usual standards I’ve experienced before, we booked for Sunday lunch, now as a huge meat fan I was left a tad disappointed, I ordered the 4 meats, chose 2 beef, one lamb and one pork. My wife ordered the chicken, and our teenage kids ordered the beef and the chicken. First off, I’m always a tad suspicious when every element of the dinner is the same heat, beyond hot, which leads me to think chef mic has been involved, I could not workout which was the beef and which was the lamb as it was the same colour and texture, both very dry and lacking flavour, the pork was dry and the gravy was very thin and tasteless, I could tell the dish was microwaved as the crispy Yorkshire had deflated like a burst dingy and the stuffing ball was very dry. The veg was ok, the “creamy mash” was solid and not creamy, but the cauliflower cheese, wow, biggest cheese pull, loaded with mozzarella, nicely done. My wife’s chicken, again, dry, come on Owl, the meat was toby carvery standard, you’re better than that. We were also charged for 3 pints of Pepsi when we only had one, which was rectified, but the star of the show should be the meat on a roast dinner and I felt let down by the intense temperature of the meat which rendered it tasteless, and to be honest, it wasn’t that busy so I’d of expected more.”

  “Family of 5 meal out at the Owl on a Monday evening. It was fairly quiet but atmosphere pleasant and staff were lovely and friendly. Unfortunately we were slightly disappointed with the "bread, olives and oils" sharer which at £9.95 was no way worth it (not sure why oils was a plural as a pot of olive oil came with a small and underwhelming cut up long life baguette and a pot of basic cheap stoned green olives) but the mozzarella sticks were crunchy and hot and in fact the mains were really good, the Pizzas were some of the best we've had and the pulled pork burger wonderfully messy and had some great chips. But forget the coleslaw please and add a decent relish to the plate. All in all very good and lovely place for a family meal.”

  “Great little find: lovely ambience pub with super friendly & welcoming staff, with huge outdoor area too. Seabass was the best we've had in a pub and the new salmon & avocado salad on the menu was delicious. Will definitely be coming back!”
