“Unfortunately this place has gone really downhill in the last 6 months or so. We've been going here since we moved to the village 9 years ago and have always been very impressed, especially with how fresh the fish has been, and how soft and delicious the chips are. But the last 4 or 5 orders have been very disappointing. As other reviews have said, the chips are always now stale, rock hard and unedible. The fish was dry and the portion sizes have also become very small (size of a small cod is now much smaller than the fish bites portion, but twice the price). Perhaps because it's been a quieter weekday, not sure. We kept giving them more chances in the hope they were one-offs but it doesn't seem like they've listened to any feedback, so we won't be going back for a long time.”
