About The Langton Arms
On Main St in Market Harborough, The Langton Arms is a restaurant whose menu includes a roast with a trio of meats option. For two diners, the T-Bone steak can be shared between them. The Valentine's special dinner follows three courses: a salmon starter, a shared Chateaubriand main and a tiramisu dessert. Tables are spaced so they sit apart from one another. Walk-ins are taken without a booking, while special dinners like the Valentine's menu are booked ahead. Busy roast service can mean a wait to be served.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing them as friendly, chatty and helpful, with one server and the team praised for making an evening feel special. Food comes close behind: a shared Chateaubriand with salmon starter and tiramisu on Valentine's night, a shared T-Bone steak, and a Sunday lunch called brilliant. Diners also mention the homely decor, tables not too close together, reasonable prices and a good choice of wine. One group held a company barbecue in the garden, with burgers and chicken that colleagues rated highly. The criticism is about timing and value. One Sunday dinner party waited 40 minutes after being quoted about 20, with no one taking their order or updating them, and they left without eating. Another reviewer found the Sunday roast trio of meats small for the price, with basic accompaniments and a heavy hand of horseradish on a plate that looked too big for the portion. Several others describe walking in without a booking on a Saturday and still getting a really nice meal.

“Disappointing experience with service timing We visited The Langton Arms for Sunday dinner. Upon arrival, we were told there would be about a 20-minute wait to be served. We were happy to wait, but after 40 minutes had passed, no one had come over to take our order or check on us. I understand that restaurants can get busy and short-staffed, but a quick update from the team would have gone a long way. Ultimately, we decided to leave without dining. I’m sharing this in hopes that management can improve communication around wait times on busier nights, as the space itself seemed great.”

“We had our company barbecue at this pub last year, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Around 40 of us gathered in the garden, and everything was perfectly organised. They served burgers, chicken, and other BBQ food, all freshly prepared and incredibly delicious. Many of my colleagues said it was the best company BBQ they had ever had. During the planning stage, Assistant Manager H and Ryan were extremely helpful, patiently answering all of my emails and questions without hesitation. Their support made the whole organisation process very smooth and stress-free. On the day, Luke and the lovely lady who cooked for us were both so kind, welcoming, and full of positive energy. They really created a warm and enjoyable atmosphere for the whole team. A huge thank you to everyone involved for giving us such a memorable day. We truly appreciated the effort, hospitality, and amazing food.”

“Stopped here on a Saturday without booking and had a really nice meal. Staff were friendly, food was tasty, atmosphere was nice, setting was great, prices reasonable. Would recommend this pub.”

“Four of us visited for an evening meal on a Friday. The Carmarthenshire is a good size so there was plenty of parking. There is a good sized outdoor eating area. On entering the decor is very nice with a homely feel about it. The tables are not too close so that was good. The service was excellent and the food really good. Definitely somewhere we will return to.”
