Customer Review Summary
Smashed avocado is the dish reviewers raise most, served at brunch with bacon, feta and pickled onions, and described as delicious. Close behind are the Sunday roast with every side added, a Cajun chicken burger, a chicken Caesar salad and chicken wings, with several noting large portions. At the bar, diners single out the cocktails, a stone and wood IPA on draught and an alcohol free selection. One fussy vegetarian said the vegetarian sausages were the best he had had. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, from a server who kept coffees topped up to a bartender who poured the IPA, and the atmosphere is described as lively but comfortable. One couple who turned up without a booking, with their dog, were warmly welcomed. The main criticism comes from a former regular who says the atmosphere has changed in recent months and plans to go elsewhere after hearing employees were fired harshly and of concerns about management. Another party was phoned ahead and told several items were unavailable, then enjoyed everything they ordered.

“Came in for a relaxed weekend brunch and was so impressed. The atmosphere inside has so much character, and the food (especially the smashed avocado) was delicious! Chloe looked after our table and she was incredibly sweet, making sure our coffees were topped up and recommending the best plates. Outstanding service with a smile!”

“Came in here after a long walk. Bartender Luke was really friendly and gave an amazing service. We’ve been looking for stone and wood IPA since we came back from Australia and this is one of the only UK places with it on draught! Poured perfectly by Luke!”

“Unfortunately this place used to be my go to bar but having heard recent news about employees being fired harshly I will be choosing other places to go. Not heard great news about the management and I don’t stand for staff being treated unfairly. Knutsford is a very small place and news spreads fast so this was not a smart move from the management. Many others I have spoken to feel the same and I think the place has changed massively in the last couple months. Atmosphere is not the same and the staff were really friendly and a good chat so unfortunately they will have lost a lot of customers due to this”
