“We visited as it was recommended to us for a possible venue for a group xmas dinner so we went to see how they were doing with Sunday lunches at peak period. The restaurant was empty, outdoor seating was great but no-one was eating. Usually, you go into a pub at Sunday lunch and the odour from the kitchen will set the mouth watering. No sign of any cooking going on. It is dog friendly, my nose told me that the carpets needed sanitising because of this. There was just one dog at the time we visited and someone was throwing it a ball to retrieve, inside! Overall, it is a great family pub, the management are doing everything possible to keep it going. Recommended for families and dogs but maybe not for a discerning diner.”
