Customer Review Summary

The waterfront setting draws the most praise, with reviewers describing the patio views by the river and canal as nice, especially in summer, and one calling a breakfast there quiet and friendly. Close behind is value for money, with the food described as good, a curry singled out as a highlight, and service via the app table ordering called quick. Several mention friendly, helpful staff and clean toilets. Complaints are more varied. One reviewer's fish and chips arrived overcooked with little fish inside, then the kitchen reported it had run out. Another says two pina coladas tasted sour, and the counter refused a refund or exchange. Others find the inside noisy, tables slow to be cleaned, confusing table numbers, and mostly two-seat tables that make groups of three or more awkward. One reviewer reports one item on an app order being changed straight away.

“I skiddadled off my canal boat (the gaff) today for a cheeky pint and a proper bit of scran MY GOD was I amazed, the curry of champions and pint to my hearts content (the bartender, jemma I think her name was) even let me put my head under the tap, £5 well bloody spent, what a day what a spoons what an experience”

“Typical Wetherspoons in that it had a noisy atmosphere inside. Tables on the patio overlooking the waterfront were very quiet, but it was a bit chilly for me and I wished I was wearing warmer clothing so I coukd have eaten out there. Food was good and prices excellent, but service not too good with tables slow to be cleaned”
