  “I went to the British oak for food, was served by a lovely, welcoming and young lady called millie. She made sure we had everything and that everything was okay with our food. Her positivity made our dinning experience that much better.”

  “Great, hard working staff. Food good. Service great. A big space was pre booked for a birthday get together. On that day there was children's entertainment, face paiting, music ALL FREE! Great place!”

  “I had an ok experience I overheard the main manager being really snappy/rude with the staff during a packed Father’s Day made me not want to support this establishment. Do better and be nicer to staff nobody should have to work in a hostile environment.”

  “Visited with family to celebrate my daughter finishing her GCSEs. Also we had a voucher for 40% off mains! Friendly staff and great food. Only negative was it took quite a long time for our food to arrive hence only 4 stars. We weren't in any rush though so didn't mind too much. Would definitely visit again!”

  “Popped in for a weekday lunch and really enjoyed it. The food was nice and reasonably priced. We were served by Ellie who was lovely and polite, and even recommended what to have—which was spot on! Always nice to get such good service. Will be back 👍”

  “Enjoyed a lovely meal with my friend, lovely, tasty food and served by the manager who was very helpful and also a young lady by the name of Ellie who was also very helpful, in fact she was a breath of fresh air, she was very friendly, bubbly and nothing was too much trouble!!!”

  “First time in this pub . We received a voucher and decided to try it out . We sat in the lounge area for food which had plenty of room to eat . Staff were friendly especially Eliza who showed us to our seats , took our drinks and food orders . She was a great addition to the team . Food came swiftly and was good value and tasty. We had a lovely time . It was family friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. We would definitely go back again.”

  “Food portions were small, my daughter literally had 2 dippers on her plate. food was mediocre, steak was like rubber. The barmaid (didn’t get a name) was lovely and helpful but an older lady (presume manager) wasn’t very helpful & reluctant to sit us, was given a few funny looks when she passed. Which made us feel very uncomfortable. Shame cause it seems like a nice place but definitely won’t be returning.”

  “Absolutely fantastic experience! AS ALWAYS! Cant fault this place at all! We tried the kebab and chips from the new menu, and it was nothing short of sublime—perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and so satisfying. We also had the steak and a fresh salad, both of which were equally impressive. The food arrived hot, fresh, and delicious, with every bite packed with quality and taste. Excellent service and a great atmosphere too. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!”

  “Lovely clean , tidy pub and dog friendly. So happy to find a dog friendly pub to have a nice meal. Couldn’t fault the food. Home made lasagna gorgeous and really delicious fish and chips. Highly recommended, we will definitely eat here again with our dogs next time. Thankyou to the lovely,friendly staff.”
