Customer Review Summary
Slow, lukewarm food is the complaint reviewers raise most, with long waits for meals that then arrive cold or luke warm. One American breakfast came with eggs described as incredibly small, and another diner was served a poor looking tomato alongside a cold meal. Several blame understaffing on busy days, including a Mother's Day visit where young staff did not seem to know what food they were serving. Others say staff are not particularly friendly and skip the check back, though one reviewer found the waitress really nice. On the positive side, reviewers call the food good for the price and reasonably priced, and one enjoys a fresh pint of Stella Artois in comfortable seating among Tudor style white and blue decor. Ordering by QR code at the table is noted as handy when the bar is full. Some regulars say the food used to be better, and one diner describes watching friends eat for a long while after ordering at the same time for the same table.

“Been coming here for years and have always loved the atmosphere, but the customer service over the past 2 months has become absolutely appalling. One particular very tall blonde member of staff has been unbelievably rude. She refused to serve me despite me being of age and having valid ID, simply because my hair colour has changed since my ID photo. When I tried to explain, she told me to “shut up.” Absolutely disgusting way to speak to a customer. She’s done the same to multiple people I know, including taking a friend’s ID despite her being of age. This clearly isn’t a one-off issue. Management seriously needs to step in because the attitude of some staff is completely unacceptable and is ruining what used to be a great place.”

“Cheap and cheerful place to eat. Food is good to ok but great for the price. Nice atmosphere with locals eating and drinking at the establishment.”

“Have eaten in Wetherspoons all over the country and by far the worst one is the one closest to where I live. I have waited over an hour on one occasion and for 40 minutes for my food on another, which is always luke warm. The staff aren't particularly friendly and never carry out a check back, which is a company SOP. This is probably my last visit here. Kenilworth & Leamington are much better.”

“We visited on 20/04/2026 and ordered at 2pm. It was a 40-minute wait, but the restaurant was already overcrowded for a Monday and clearly understaffed. During our visit, my autistic daughter became overwhelmed and had a meltdown. While we were trying to support and calm her, another customer shouted at her to “shut up” at the top of her voice. This was extremely distressing. What was most disappointing was that no staff intervened—neither to address the customer’s behaviour nor to check on us and ensure we were okay. We were left feeling completely unsupported and uncomfortable. This experience made it clear that the environment is not inclusive or understanding of additional needs. Sadly, we will not be returning.”
