“Absolutely love The Pelican! Staff are so friendly and welcoming, it always feels like a proper local. Super dog friendly too — our pup always gets a warm welcome. Great live entertainment, perfect spot to watch sports and the beer garden is brilliant in summer — such a lovely place to relax. Great atmosphere all round!”

“With sadness as a family we’ll never forget we held our dad’s wake in the function room here at the pub perfectly located centrally in East Hull. The room is spacious with plenty of seating, its own bar and has its own private toilet facilities. The function room has a stage area and large tv which we used for a photograph slideshow. The room itself is accessible directly from a good sized car park with plenty of spaces and is wheelchair friendly. Mel, the landlady was really accommodating in allowing us access the previous afternoon to set up things in memory of dad, she also chose the perfect background music which was played throughout. Food is presented upon its own, very spacious designated area. The food Mel prepared was very plentiful and she made sure to provide enough staff to deal with a busy bar during our time there. Nothing was too much to ask and Mel and the staff on the bar really looked after everyone who attended. Dad would have been really proud. If you’re looking at holding a function of any kind don’t hesitate to contact the pub and speak with Mel who will be only too gappy to help you. Thankyou for all you did for us as a family. We are truly grateful. Xx”

We were served by Gracie, who was so lovely, friendly and attentive throughout our visit. She really made us feel welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful. We’ll definitely be coming back!”
