  “The most fantastic pub in Hull you simply have to visit. Dave is the true beating heart of this pub and makes it such a warm and fun time. I was visiting hull for a week with a big group and we drank here most nights and Dave learnt all of our names on the first day! Great drinks great atmosphere, you’re missing out if you don’t have a drink here!”

  “Great little boozer with local character. Good for a couple before and after any shows at the New Theatre. Is happy with takeaways inside, dog friendly, darts, projector, TV, great shots. Give the Baby Beer shots a try. Dave is a top English Gent himself, really looked after us.”

  “Dave and his team are amazing! So friendly, such a lovely pub and they create a perfect atmosphere. We were on tour with a show at the theatre next door and spent quite a few nights here after the show, Dave looked after us so well. Would highly recommend if you want a relaxed, fun evening! Will be back when I’m in Hull again.”

  “We found this remarkable pub near The Hull New Theatre just before seeing Operation Mincemeat. The landlord offered Theatre goes 10 per cent off drinks when showing their Theatre tickets. What a delightful and welcoming pub it was .Will definitely return”

  “Great little traditional pub in the heart of the city. Good range of cask ales and ciders. Wood burning stove and signed photos of celebrity visitors complete the atmosphere .”

  “Excellent pub. Great, friendly landlord and staff. Look out for all the signed photos of actors who have been at the nearby theatre going back decade and decades. Regular events, acts and quizzes throughout the week. You can even scan the QR code on your table and get served at your table. One of my favourite city centre pubs! History, booze and ambiance. It's win-win-win!!!!”
