About Three Crowns
Three Crowns is a pub on Plimsoll Way in Hull, close to Victoria Dock. Its 2 4 1 meals deal makes the cheapest of every two main meals free, whatever is ordered. The menu includes Belting Burgers and Mighty Mains, alongside a daily specials board and a roast dinner of roast meat and Yorkshire pudding. Orders are placed at the bar, and staff also serve at tables. The bar stocks a changing choice of cask ales, plus draught beers, ciders, wines and spirits. A separate bar area for over 16s has pool and darts. Sky Sports is shown, so football matches play live.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the Sunday lunch, praised for a generous portion of roast meat and a huge Yorkshire pudding, with others singling out a lasagne, a fish dish and mac and cheese topped with popcorn chicken. Portions and value come up repeatedly, and several call the food much more than expected pub grub. Staff are described again and again as friendly and helpful, and the pub is seen as welcoming to families, groups and solo diners. Reviewers also mention a Thursday pub quiz, live football on Sky Sports, outside seating and a bar area with pool and darts. The criticism is smaller but specific. One diner found the turkey dinner tasted like deli meat rather than carved turkey, and the Yorkshire pudding too soft. When they raised it, no replacement was offered, so they would not use their second voucher. Another found the vegetables overdone and the roast potatoes disappointing. Even so, one family said their dogs got a couple of sausages.

“Scrummy meals with plenty on our plates. We were served by Beth, a lovely young lady, friendly, helpful and efficient. All staff were whizzing about making sure all customers were well looked after. Clean all round and pleasant atmosphere. Extremely good value. Much more than the expected pub chain “pub grub”. Our thanks for a lovely meal extends to the kitchen staff too.”

“A massive thank you to ALL the staff at the three crowns , especially Maddy Jake and jade who worked tirelessly to ensure our dear friends 60th birthday was as amazing as we had hoped for. We provide music and decorations for parties and i must say I highly recommend the staff and venue for ensuring our set up was smooth and effortless. You were so helpful to myself and the dj on our arrival right through to the end. Hope you enjoyed your song request too! You all should be commended and are a credit to the venue.,Thank you”

“The staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. The food was good, the veg were overdone but it was late in the day and the roasties were a bit disappointing but there was a very generous portion of roast meat and a huge Yorkie pud!”

“Came in just for a drink on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised I’ve not been back since before the World Cup (too busy for old me…) and I was pleasantly surprised… you have a new member of staff Bethany and what an asset she is to your business… she said she’d worked in care when I asked what she’d done before… and boy you can tell she really gives 💩 well done guys great atmosphere and all staff I dealt with were polite and friendly… top notch 👍”

“The three crowns is one of our regular spots for yummy pub grub, the food is always delicious, really good portion sizes and value for money. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and is perfect for families, couples, groups of friends or even on your own if you fancied it. Our waitress Jade was so lovely and ensure she was attentive and accompanying to all of our needs. Would definitely recommend.”
