About The Lambwath
The Lambwath is a pub on Sutton Rd in Hull and part of the Stonehouse family, with a carvery served daily and pizza parties for kids. The carvery comes with a choice of three meats or a combination of all three, plus Yorkshire puddings, gravy and a self-serve vegetable counter with a wide choice. A vegetarian mushroom suet pastry pie is available for anyone skipping the meat. Stonebaked pizzas and pub classics fill out the rest of the menu, and desserts include build your own sundaes and bubble waffle sundaes. The pub is large, with space for plenty of tables, and staff bring food to the table. Dogs are welcome. The business also has an app that gives a discount.

Customer Review Summary
The carvery is what reviewers return to most, praising the choice of meats, the self-serve vegetables, and the yorkshire puddings and gravy, with several calling it good value. Close behind is the service, where diners describe servers as friendly, polite and helpful, one handling a party of 10 by helping with the menu and answering questions. Others mention a vegetarian mushroom suet pastry pie, a breakfast where a dropped bacon piece was replaced, and burgers with ribs and mushroom small plates eaten outside. The spacious pub is repeatedly described as roomy and family friendly, and one reviewer used an app for a discount. Complaints are fewer but specific. One reviewer found the beef tough and inedible and called the build your own sundae very small for its price, while another had a disorganised start after an online reservation, being told to find their own table and ending up at an oversized table for two. One reviewer waited around 25 minutes for burgers and small plates, though felt it paid off. A family from abroad enjoyed the visit.

“We came for a family meal and were welcomed straight away. Lisa was a brilliant host, nothing was too much. She was very personable. Great place for the kids also. Will definitely return again. Our family from abroad enjoyed it too as they don’t have this in their city.”

“We sat outside and ordered two burgers and some small plates of ribs and mushrooms. The place is absolutely lovely and well-shaded. The food took 25 or so minutes to arrive, but was well worth the wait - really a step above usual pub food, and a delightful server Sophie, who made no hassle of asking for extra sauces or small inconveniences and made the whole experience simply great - will come back!”

“Ruth and the Scottish chef went above and beyond to make our breakfast experience positive. They were both very welcoming and friendly and took time to talk to my 3 year old niece. Ruth even brought a new piece of bacon for my niece when she dropped her piece. Two fabulous people making a tasty meal even more enjoyable! They deserve a pay rise!!”
