  “Was in over the weekend for some food and drinks. Pizzas were cooked to perfection and the forenzi pasta was also delicious. 100% recommend this wee restaurant to everyone as the food was outstanding, we didn't have to wait long for food or drinks and the service was also great!”

  “Tried new menu for first time yesterday. I had scampi which was fine ...hubby had haddock + chips . Unfortunately to us the haddock did not taste or look like haddock ..it had watery / hardly any flavour at all. Charlene was lovely about hubby leaving the fish + reported it to the chef. To be fair not chefs fault he can only cook what he is given. Would go back + give them another try but would choose something different .”

  “I had the chicken Parm sandwich with a diet iron brew, and the chicken was so tender in your mouth. Service and Price were absolutely fantastic. Will come back again.”

  “Went to tonight for dinner, asked for a table for 2, waitress wasn’t the happiest Ordered drinks and then food, food came salad with the chicken strips was wilted and discoloured, the Cajun pasta was dripping with oil, the highland burger was okay, but looked like mush, presentation needs attention. I did complain and they removed the drinks from the bill. Really disappointed as been a few times before and no complaints, won’t be back, lacked atmosphere”

  “Went in to Times Square today. Haven't been in a while but glad I did. Had really good food which I can say was the best Cajun chicken pasta I have had in forever. 🤤 keep the good work guys! Will defo be back!”

  “Unfortunately, this was an extremely disappointing experience. We came for lunch with a group of three people. At first, everything seemed fine: we were shown to our table, given menus, and our drink order was taken and served. After that, however, we were simply ignored. Despite waiting for quite some time, nobody came to take our food order. Instead, several staff members were standing around at the counter, seemingly engaged in private conversations. What made the situation even more frustrating was that two groups who arrived after us were served, able to place their orders, and even received their meals, while we continued to be overlooked. In the end, we left the restaurant without eating anything at all — even though only around four tables were occupied. This level of service was neither attentive nor professional and completely unacceptable from our perspective. Very disappointing, and unfortunately not an experience we would like to repeat.”

  “We popped in for a bite to eat in the morning prior to setting out for the day. The menu was limited for breakfast, however the food was cooked superbly. We were sat at the front of the venue and for some reason all of the staff seemed to hang around at the far end of the bar, so getting their attention was difficult. We were told it was table service, however after 10 minutes nobody had come over, so I went over to the bar only to be told again it’s table service, at which point someone came over. We had the same difficulty in getting the bill. As it was quiet staff weren’t coming over to serve other people, so had to approach the bar to request to pay, only to be told again it’s table service. I’d rather order and pay at the bar than be told it’s table service but staff not pay a huge attention to the tables. Thankfully the food was superb which saved this from being what could have been a bad review. Work on the service and this could be a great venue!”

  “I had the Highland Burger, a slightly mad mix of a classic beef patty topped with haggis. Rich, kind of peppery, and it came with a side of chilli sauce for haggis virgins. Friendly staff as well, welcoming and attentive without hovering good range of beers..”

  “This is a brilliant wee gaff in an absolutely mega spot. Came in for a quick lunch today and ended up properly taking it all in. Scotland were playing, so there was a steady stream of customers - solos, couples, full groups of lads in kilts. About 95% of them breezed straight past the ‘Please wait to be seated’ sign and either sat themselves or headed for the bar 😂. I don’t even work there and it was stressing me out. There were only three staff on, and for a while it was basically just two - the brunette lady on the bar pouring every drink under the sun including loads of cocktails, and the younger blonde girl handling the entire floor. Fair play to them: with around 40+ people milling about chaotically, they kept everything moving with zero attitude and full attentiveness. I was honestly buckling watching it but they handled it like pros. Food was great too. The buffalo chicken goujons were ridiculously good, and the burger was surprisingly high-quality for the price - you can tell the kitchen’s making an effort to compete, especially for such a central location. If I’m totally honest, I do think the team could use more support. They smashed it, but the table-service model didn’t feel like it was working today. The interior has that lovely old-school Glasgow pub feel - big vintage bar, stunning brass rail, the kind of setup people naturally want to lean on - yet customers were being moved away from the bar and told to sit down. It felt like the system was fighting the space instead of working with it. A Wetherspoons-style hybrid could be perfect here: let folk sit themselves, order via an app or at the bar, and run food out as needed. The cost of setting up an app would probably pay itself off quickly, because the venue, the team, and the menu are all spot-on - there’s just a wee operational jigsaw piece that’s not quite fitting yet. Overall, brilliant staff, cracking food, and a great atmosphere. Hope the place finds the setup that really lets it shine. Thanks again for the great service and lunch today 👍”

  “Nice bar with a beer garden, pretty inside and the food is excellent value, huge portions of tasty food! They have burgers, pub classics, sandwiches and more plus cracking starters like Crispy Babybels which are bloody amazing. I'll go back just for those Crispy Babybels, genius.”
