About Boom Battle Bar Glasgow
Boom Battle Bar Glasgow is an activity bar at St. Enoch Shopping Centre in Glasgow, where indoor axe throwing sits alongside augmented darts, mini golf, shuffleboard, beer pong, pool and karaoke under one roof. Axe throwing begins with a short demo and instructions from staff. Players complete a waiver and receive wristbands first, and no alcohol is allowed before throwing. A kitchen serves street food between games, and the cocktail list includes spicy margaritas and mojitos. Drink tokens are handed out for drinks. The venue hosts birthdays, date nights, team-building events and get-togethers with friends and family, and it is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Axe throwing is the activity reviewers raise most, and the instructors earn the warmest comments: several describe a demo, tips and trick shots that made it a good laugh, including on a birthday outing. Darts, shuffleboard, pool and nolf come close behind, and spicy margaritas are praised repeatedly, with one reviewer describing an off-menu strawberry and peach mojito made on request. Bar and reception staff are called friendly, chatty and helpful. The caveats centre on organisation. Two reviewers say they were left at the darts with no explanation, and one had to return to reception to ask about drink tokens and later about food. Another reports ordering drinks before axe throwing, which the waiver barred, with no verbal warning, then being offered shuffleboard after the slot went to another group and finding staff dismissive about the slow drinks. Others mention a target board that kept falling off, music turned up to full volume and shuffleboards set too close together. On a quiet afternoon, one reviewer says, a wee demo and occasional check-ins kept a nice vibe going.

“Went for Axe Throwing and Darts. Had drinks, didn't realise there was food available 🤷. It was quiet in afternoon. Bethany and Paulina put us at ease with a wee demo for the axe throwing, checked in on us occasionally to see we were ok, and kept a nice vibe going. Axe throwing and Darts were were pretty good fun. Will.go back when we get a chance 🙂”

“An extremely disappointing experience and would not recommend this venue based on how we were treated. We paid £160 for a group of eight to play AR darts and axe throwing. On arrival, we were shown to the AR darts area and simply left without any explanation of how it worked. A member of staff then asked us to complete the waivers for axe throwing so he could issue our wristbands. At no point did he verbally mention that consuming alcohol before axe throwing would mean we could no longer take part. In fact, he stood beside us while we ordered a round of drinks without saying a word. An hour later, when we went to find out why nobody had collected us for our axe throwing session, we were spoken to in a patronising manner and told that the same staff member had “warned” us we would not be allowed to participate if we drank alcohol. This is simply untrue. We now fully understand that the waiver stated no alcohol before axe throwing, and we appreciate that safety rules must be enforced. Our issue is not the policy itself, but the fact that staff failed to communicate it verbally, watched us order drinks without intervening, and then falsely claimed they had warned us. As an alternative, we were offered shuffleboard, which we accepted because by that point we had already ordered a second round of drinks. The experience deteriorated even further when, after waiting over 30 minutes for those drinks, we asked where they were and whether we could simply cancel the order and leave. Instead of apologising for the delay, the staff member actually went to check the time that we ordered before we were rudely told that 30 minutes “wasn’t that long” to wait on a busy Saturday night and that we were only complaining because of the axe throwing situation. We were also told not to complain because we’d been given a “free game” of shuffleboard. In reality, our axe throwing slot had been sold to another group, meaning the venue effectively profited twice from the same booking while presenting shuffleboard as a goodwill gesture. What was most disappointing throughout was the complete lack of accountability. Not once did anyone apologise for the poor communication, the lengthy wait for drinks, or the dismissive and confrontational way we were spoken to. Mistakes happen, but good customer service is measured by how they’re handled. Unfortunately, this experience was characterised by poor communication, dishonesty, and unprofessional customer service from start to finish. We left feeling thoroughly disappointed and would not return.”

“We arrived and were taken to our 1st game which was darts.....no explanation, just left to it.....I also had to go back to reception and ask when we got the tokens for our drinks as nobody had handed these to us. We then moved onto Shuffleboard which was great fun but again I had to go back and ask what was happening with our food!!! The guy who was most helpful at this point asked if one of his staff had let the kitchen know we were there!!!! Obviously not!!!! Overall we did have a great day but had i not been persistent or gone back to the desk...would we have got our food and drink??? probably not! There always seemed to be a lot of staff running about but not really looking after their guests. Shuffleboards are too close together. We had an outside one but the table beside us had no spacial awareness and kept walking and standing infront of our table,”
