Customer Review Summary

The complaints are serious but come from a minority. One group reports waiting around an hour for three salads and a margarita pizza while drinks arrived quickly, and left without the food after being told twice it was only minutes away, noting a staff meeting was being served food nearby. Another reviewer describes door staff who questioned them before entry and then refused re-entry after a cigarette break, and says they felt treated differently as English visitors.

“The gent behind the bar Zander, he was very extremely friendly and even got me to try a few new drinks which I wouldn’t usually try. Lovely staff, great atmosphere. Would come back to back after this visit.”

“Me and my three friends visited Revolution on Saturday evening for some drinks. I was extremely disappointed with my experience here. The door staff were rude, abrupt and made us feel completely unwelcome from the moment we arrived. Before letting us in, we were questioned about whether we'd been drinking elsewhere and whether we had a booking, despite there being no obvious reason for this. Once inside, we only had a couple of drinks and were nowhere near intoxicated. When we stepped outside for a cigarette, the attitude of the door staff changed immediately. We were told, very abruptly, that we wouldn't be allowed back in. No explanation was given, and we had done nothing to justify being refused re-entry. What made the experience even more upsetting was that there were other customers inside who were clearly far more intoxicated than we were, yet nothing appeared to be said to them. As English visitors, we were left feeling that we had been treated differently because of our nationality. Whether intentional or not, the whole interaction felt discriminatory and left a very sour impression. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and fairness. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below that standard, and we certainly won't be returning.”

“Krystian was a great host/waiter. He was very attentive and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Eireann was a fab waitress and made sure we were never without a drink. Good food and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.”

“Would give 0 stars if I could. Walked in at for lunch at 1pm, the restaurant was empty and we immediately greeted by a member of bar staff. He was friendly and my low rating for service is not a reflection of the front of house staff. We placed our orders almost immediately, 3 salads and a margarita pizza. With 4 soft drinks. The drinks arrived quickly, I cannot say the same about the food. After a 40 minute wait we asked how much longer the wait was expected to be, we were told it wouldn’t be much longer. 10 minutes later, still no food. We had children in our party who were becoming quite agitated as the wait continued. Near the hour mark we asked again about our food. We were told it would be a 7 minute wait, so we sat. After a further 10 minutes and not appearance of food we decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. Throughout the entirety of our experience, a group of Revolution staff were having a meeting in the restaurant, they were continually served food and beverages while we waited. Assuming that this meeting meant less staff on shift, I can understand a longer wait. But not over an hour as the only guests in the restaurant. Safe to say this was a disappointing experience, especially as members of our group have previously had good experiences at Revolution. Considering how many good, quick food establishments are situation just a stone throw from Revolution, I am in as much of a hurry as our food was to return.”

“Kristian and Jasmine were honestly the most attentive servers on our visit on Sunday evening. Both made sure myself and my 2 friends never went without a drink. Made sure all food was ok and tbh.. faultless. Super friendly super kind, everything you want from hospitality service. Thank you.”
