  “I came here for food before a concert with my daughter and initially we were excited to eat here, however, the waitress with red hair and glasses left us feeling unwelcome from the start. The girl was serving others and we waited and looked at her to let her know that we were ready to order 10 minutes into arriving, and she signalled that she would be 2 minutes. After this, she served all the other tables around us bar us and started cleaning other tables rather than coming to serve us. We considered walking out from the restaurant at that point as her service was non existent. Luckily, another staff member who was in all black clothing with brown hair served us as soon as she realised we were waiting and was pleasant. However, we asked for the bill before our food came as we weren't confident we would be served again if the girl with the brown hair was to go on a break/ stop serving and we wanted to leave as soon as we had eaten. I cannot recommend this place unfortunately as we felt uncomfortable and singled out by this staff member.”

  “My first time trying here, and was very pleased with the service and the food. The drinks arrived very promptly as did the food. The waiters were very attentive and courteous. I will recommend clyde built to my friends.”

  “Restaurant had run out of a few things, one meal was completely forgotten so had to be requested when the rest came and the chicken burger was not right, only noticed after a fair chunk had been eaten by my hungry child. Staff were very lovely with service from waiting staff good and they dealt with the issues sympathetically and appropriately. Still cannot recommend as no one needs to see this in their chicken burger. *Update as it won’t allow me to respond to comment* This was a plain chicken burger with no garnish (not even sauce) and to be clear this colour was on the inside, there was nothing on the outside of the burger. I do understand you need to manage reputation and I’m glad you’re taking it seriously, but I’m afraid discolouration by garnish was not the case and the fact staff were openly horrified and refunded without my asking, showed they understood there was something wrong with it.”

  “I never have left a restaurant review but feel compelled due to awful experience in this venue. Ordered chicken and bacon salad… a bowl of lettuce and croutons arrived. When highlighted, it was taken back and the tiniest piece of chicken and barely visible shredded pieces of bacon had been added. We were then informed table was required back at 6.15pm (booking email confirmed table was guaranteed 6.45pm but we never mentioned this to the staff) Weren’t offered another drink, desert, staff seemed to avoid us to get the message across to leave. Very poor value for money”

  “Booked here as we were going to see a show at the Armadillo. Friendly and attentive staff. We had an early booking so no wait for food. Only issue we found was that the restaurant was very cold and it appeared that cold air was being blown through the area we were sat in. Marked difference to temp in the bar area.”

  “We were able to go in 30 minutes earlier than our reservation. Waitress was lovely. I had the chicken caesar salad, it was huge. Lovely. My friend the fish and chips, loved it. The sticky toffee pudding was enormous. I had the apple crumble and ice cream. The crumble was lovely and crunchy. All the staff were very nice. Was great to relax and not rush our meal before show at armadillo.....😋😍”

  “I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. Usually bars/restaurants near event venues are overpriced and not great quality, but when we were at the SEC Armadillo for an event, we had a look at the menu here and thought it looked really good. The ordering process is fast and simple, and the food came out reasonably quickly. I had fish and chips and it was very tasty, and well cooked & presented. I would definitely eat here again, and have already agreed with my wife that we’ll eat here next time we’re at an event in the area.”
