About Old Schoolhouse Glasgow
Old Schoolhouse Glasgow is a pub in Glasgow, set in a former school at 287 Woodlands Rd with a playful theme and an open-plan layout. Screens are placed throughout for watching sports, and some of the booths have a TV of their own. The food menu includes steak pie and haggis fritters, and the taps carry a range of beers, with mini beer flights for those who want to try several. A pool table sits in the main room, and a pub quiz runs every Monday evening. Outside, a large smoking shelter serves guests who step out for a cigarette.

Customer Review Summary
Sport on the many screens is what reviewers raise most, with several describing football nights and one noting booths that have their own TV. Beers on tap, mini beer flights and a baby Guinness get praise, and the steak pie, haggis fritters, chocolate fudge cake and crumble are singled out, with big portions mentioned. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and lovely, a Monday pub quiz gets a mention, and the shaded patio is liked, though one reviewer notes sitting outside is a problem for anyone sensitive to smoke. Food availability is the recurring complaint. On a football day food was not being served at first, a group at an early dinner found a couple of dishes already gone, and another diner found the fish and chips sold out. One reviewer was told at the front gate that food delivered there could not be taken inside, with no sign saying so. Another received a single pig in a blanket as a side. The diner who lost the fish and chips was offered a fish sandwich and called it good.

“I'm sure it's a great experience, but can't rate the food because it wasn't being served due to football being on which is understandable. Service-wise, the bar staff were great, but when I then ordered food and went to pick it up at the front gate I was told by the man there, essentially as a bouncer-type (after ordering and paying for it, waiting on it and having it delivered) that I 1. Couldn't step literally any foot out of the gate to pick it up despite being in a party with a table booked for the foreseeable hours (which was a known fact at this point) or else I'd have to wait in a 1 in-1 out queue and 2. Couldn't take the food in with me despite it not being listed anywhere on the site as not accepted on the premises, when I asked if I had missed the sign, I was told "No it's not written anywhere, it's just the rules" as if I'm supposed to know that and pre-emptively assume the place will lock me in a hunger purgatory lest I want to spend the rest of my night with my friends alone, outside in a queue I shouldn't be in?”

“Nice pub been frequently always decent. I frequented it today with my better half, availed of their 14.50 roast.... for the price cant complain. But... ordered a side of "pigs in blankets" as listed on the menu forgive me if im wrong but from that alone that suggests at least two. 👀 but alas one measley pig in a blanket for £2 45 this might be petty but I think thats wild”

“4.4 stars feels about right. A good selection of beers on tap. Lots of screens for sports. Unfortunately sitting outside isn't an option if you're sensitive to smoking. They were out of the fish and chips when I visited, but suggested the fish sandwich, which was good.”
