About The Park Bar
The Park Bar is a Glasgow pub at 1202 Argyle St in Finnieston, established in 1895 and built around live traditional music. Trad bands and musicians play on some nights, and the programme includes weekly sessions and ceilidh nights. The pub is a meeting place for the Gaelic, Highland and Island community, and Gaelic is spoken at the bar. A large bar with plenty of seating serves pints of Tennents alongside a range of Scottish drinks. Live sport is shown on Sky and TNT, and football and rugby crowds gather here in team jerseys after matches.

Customer Review Summary
Live traditional music is what reviewers praise most at this pub, with one describing a band whose crowd danced the night away and another calling it the real deal where everyone seemed to know each other. Close behind are the pints, with Tennents and the beer called good and brilliant, and a friendly, polite bar team that works quickly even when the place is jumping after the rugby. Visitors also single out the Gaelic being spoken, which an Irish visitor found fascinating to compare with Irish. Several describe a cosy, casual, clean space with plenty of seating where conversation comes easily, and others use it to shelter from the rain or meet before a football match. The recurring complaints are practical. One reviewer found just over ten pounds for two pints of Tennents pricey, and the outside area sits on a main road and is noisy. Two note there is no food, only chips. Several say they would happily return.

“A cute, clean bar on the corner. They don’t serve food. Bartender was attentive and quick. It was a great meet up place to meet before the football game against Switzerland. Had a great time. There were others meeting up too wearing their football jerseys.”

“Called in to get out of the rain and had a pint. It is a well presented pub with clean appearance and polite staff. Would definitely have stayed longer but had a concert to go to. Would visit again.”

“Excellent authentic pub, felt like a home from home as an Irish visitor with the craic and trad music. Great to see Gaelic being spoken and promoted and fascinating comparing it to Irish. Definitely worth a visit”

“Could easily seeing this being a 5 star bar on a busy night. Lots of chatter but you can have a conversation quite easily. Got an outside area but it’s on a main road so quite noisy out there Over £10 for 2 pints of Tennents is pricey in my view Would happily go again”
