About The Agricultural Inn
The Agricultural Inn is a dog-friendly pub in Exeter, on Brampford Speke, serving casual fine dining from a kitchen led by Karl Parker and his team. The menu changes with the season and draws on local ingredients, with lamb and calves liver among the mains and fried pickles served with a dip. The Sunday roast comes as a trio of meats with Yorkshire puddings, or with lamb or beef. A Traditional Afternoon Tea is also on the menu, and the bartender mixes special cocktails. Large groups book ahead. Behind the pub, a courtyard called the Secret Garden and a set of garden pods give the dining a second space.

Customer Review Summary
The trio of meats Sunday roast is the dish reviewers raise most, called huge, substantial and cooked to perfection by diners at a family gathering of 18 and by a couple at lunch. Close behind are the lamb, named the food highlight of one reviewer's whole trip, the five spiced duck, and the fried pickles with their accompanying dip. Others praise the bartender's cocktails, a menu that changes with the seasons and friendly service. The main complaint comes from a regular who found a recent visit a real disappointment. Their roast arrived cold, the Yorkshire puddings were overcooked, the swede was missing, the stuffing was forgotten and a lemonade top-up for their wine never came. When they asked for the service charge to be removed, a server replied that they could have said something, and the mood turned uncomfortable. The same reviewer also notes few staff around in the Secret Garden. Another diner ordered the calves liver for a birthday meal, and nobody in the family left hungry.

“Been coming to the agi for years and always loved it. The food is made with local ingredients and always tastes delicious with the menu changing with the season. Can’t fault the service either, you can tell that all the front of house members get along and work well together. Highly recommend coming here.”

“A 9hr visit to A&E meant we happened to stumble across this amazing place when the hunger, pain and the call of a decent meal has us driving towards the unknown! What a find... the food was delicious and all the people working there were so lovely and kind and accommodating... honestly, one of the nicest places I've been to! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Agricultural Inn for any celebration big or small, or simply just because you deserve to treat yourself to a really good meal every now and then!”
