About Pinhoe Hoard
Pinhoe Hoard is a pub in Exeter at 2 Bakers Wy, housed in a modern red brick building that serves classic British meals. A small outdoor playground gives children a place to play, which suits families visiting for a meal. Inside, the spacious pub has a bar, and food orders go through an app rather than at a counter. Guests who want a calmer spot can ask the staff to seat them at a quiet table. Dogs are welcome too, so owners can bring them along.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the welcoming, friendly staff, especially at the bar, with several describing a cheerful word and a quick chat even when the pub is busy. Food comes close behind, described as fresh and well cooked. One diner calls the lasagne absolutely delicious, and another praises a beautifully presented seabass at lunch. Some say meals arrive quickly, and one regular with hearing loss says staff always seat them at a quiet table. A few add that the pub is spacious and comfortable, with a small outdoor playground the children enjoyed. The main complaint comes from one reviewer whose group of about ten ordered through the app. Orders arrived unevenly, mains came out before starters so the food went cold, and a baby seat could not be secured. The same reviewer felt the manager did not engage when an exhausted young server was rushed off her feet. Other visitors still recall bar staff who went over and beyond even while busy.

“Thursday, 3rd September. Me and my wife Caroline have just had yet another lovely evening at the Pinhoe Hoard. We are regular visitors here and although the 40% discount is Used and appreciated we would still be here as often as we are because of the quality of the staff who are so welcoming, friendly and efficient. They are a wonderful team but tonight we were served by the best of the best, ROB, Who is always working flat out to ensure that everyone is served appropriately and quickly, always a cheerful word and a quick chat even though he is busy busy busy. We enjoy the atmosphere here, the food is always good quality but the driving force and the big draw for us is the quality of the staff. I am disabled with a hearing loss and they always ensure that I am sat in a quiet table which reduces the amount of a peripheral clattering... All of the staff notice and make us welcome come and speak to us personally and Rob tonight made our meal especially enjoyable by recognising us and spending time having a quick chat in between serving us with good beer and good food. Rob is a credit to the restaurant, he is a credit to the company and the credit to himself and we really appreciate the excellent service that we received from him and all of his colleagues. We enjoy visiting this establishment regularly and will continue to do so because of this brilliant team making us feel welcome and at home. Thank you, Rob for another lovely evening. See you soon.”
